I got bad news today and I'm laying on the couch eating my feelings. The AW: Cat Edition thread was such a hit I thought I'd give this a try. Cute dog pictures can fix almost any problem.

I'll start.

This is Libby. She likes long walks, sleeping in, and pooping on the floor (but just the rug, not the hardwood that covers the entire rest of the house).

This is Remi, he's an insane adult-puppy, loves to splash his water bowl and gives you kisses on the cheek when you ask, also I don't think he's ever been angry in his life.

This is Rooti. He likes cuddles, cheese, and long walks on the beach (or anywhere).
His dislikes are thunder, fireworks, gun shots, and most children.

This is Toothless. He's an old man and has congestive heart failure, but he has no idea how sick he is, and that, at least, is a small comfort. The vet gave him 6 months in October. He'll be 11 next month. I am thankful for every day I have with him. He is a rescue.

This is his sister, Hiccup. She hates the vet. She likes to eat things like tv remotes, sunglasses, and tampons. She is 2, and just learned how to howl and the proper function of bubble wrap. She is also a rescue.

This is my Heidi. She's about 7 years old, a rescue, and some kind of terrier/possible shih tzu mix.

She's terrified of a lot of things, but wouldn't hurt a fly. Even when my 2 year old daughter has her in a choke hold, she just lays there. She does enjoy playing with her toys and acting as our vacuum cleaner, which comes in handy with a 2 year old (what do parents without dogs do--sweep?!?)

I had to LOL. I thought we had the tidiest child ever until we went to visit in-laws without the dogs! Good grief that child could make a mess. That was 29 years ago and several dogs later but they've all been great vacuum cleaners.

This is Oskar and Bella. Oskar enjoys barking for no apparent reason and peeing when excited. Bella enjoys sleeping and people food.

We got Oskar from another family who was moving and couldn't take him. He's 3. I've had Bella since she was 8 weeks old and she's now 9 1/2 years old.

I say this picture makes Bella look like the old grandma in the grocery store with her knee highs rolled down to her ankles and her house slippers.

This is my pup

He's a rescue. He loves naps, snuggles, and eating. And I'm not afraid to brag that he's one of the most photogenic dogs I've ever known! (I couldn't choose just one photo)

Trying on a doggie life vest today in preparation of an overnight canoe trip we're taking. He is highly suspicious of what we have in store.

This is Molly. She is grayer in the face now, but she loves bellyrubs, playing fetch until she collapses and her sleep number is apparently a 25 considering the amount of time she chooses my side of the bed over the other side.

This is Mixson, he enjoys staring at the ground for hours waiting for "the light" to reappear, barking like he is tough and depositing his extra dog hair underneath our bed where he sleeps.

This is Maverick (black) and Goose (gold). Maverick is super loving and an evil genius. He has learned how to open and close the backdoor on his own. I'm very lucky he won't go anywhere on his own. Goose is an energetic asshole.

And here he is with his girlfriend... We can't say her name in front of him - if we do he freaks out and starts searching for her. It's sad/funny. But mostly sad if she isn't actually coming over.
