I just received my swimsuit order.  I haven't tried any on yet, but the colors and patterns are cuter than they looked online...so yay. 

But I'm not a tiny lady and I definitely am not lacking in the chest dept.  Every.fucking.one has pads in the top.  I think they're all removable, but I'm irritated that they're there in the first place. 

Mrs.Conn does not need no help with the boobage.  TYVM.

    Oooh I feel you on that @mrs.conn23. I can hardly keep my boobs contained in any kind of bathing suit, and the padding definitely doesn't help with that problem.

    I have one. Today is one of my coworkers' birthdays. We usually do cake (sometimes homemade, sometimes store bought) and a card. Then people will do random other nice things sometimes, too, like buy the person's lunch, bring them coffee, etc.

    Well. One of my coworkers went around yesterday and told all of us that he was getting her a cake. So we are all thinking "cool! the cake is taken care of!" Mind you, he didn't ask any of us to contribute and didn't even hint that he was wanting contributions. Well this morning, he was walking around the office whining that he spent $30 on a cake and all he got out of people in the office was $4. What????? He made it sound like getting the cake was something he wanted to take care of and then whined about not getting donations. And then wouldn't accept money from anyone after he made a big deal of it. I was so irritated. If you want to do something nice for someone, just do it.

    To be fair, this same guy coordinated taking up a love offering for someone in my office who has kidney disease and then kept tabs on who gave and how much they gave and spread it around behind peoples' backs. So I guess I should have expected that he wouldn't offer to do something without strings.

    Count me on the bathing suit top frustration. All I want is a cute suit I don't have to worry about flashing people in is that too much to ask?

    So I'm still frustrated with our admin. She was in charge of ordering me a new computer (which was in my employment contract, discussed with her and the department head, which I need to do anything work related), I sent her all the specs and she ordered it. Well she ordered the wrong one (an old refurbished model), I politely asked if the ticket I got confirming order was correct bc it wasn't what we discussed. She told me that it was fine and in line with my contract (it definitely wasn't) and I just had to accept that one. I went to the DH and asked to clarify the policy and he was all "This isn't right you get the new one you picked out, send me the emails you have where it says you have to take the old wrong one".  So I have to forward the emails where she tries to tell me the wrong thing. I feel like I'm "telling on her" to her boss. 

    So whatever it's getting settled but I feel like I had to go around her to get the right thing and send emails that show she was wrong. And the semester hasn't even started yet. Awesome in sure she's going to love me. 

    Side note: DH in my world means Department Head, which is why I always use H to refer to my husband here; using DH would remind me of someone very different.

    One of my biggest pet peeves.   I'm a DD and every swimsuit has pads.  What does someone who is a DD need pads for?   Yes, they are removable, but it's still annoying.      

    Forget the fact I do not understand why people who "do" need the pad even want to use them?  They are made of foam and suck up a lot of water.  You basically have to squeeze your boobs or you will be leaking water from your boobs for the rest of the day.


    VENT- we are still in a holding pattern about a job DH interviewed for back in May.  They are flying him to Toronto Aug 8th.  (the job is in FL though).   So that means at at least another few weeks.      I wanted to get new deck furniture and other stuff.  But no, everything is on hold until we know if he gets the job or if the place he is at now will give him a fat raise to stay.    






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    I prefer the pads in bathing suits because I feel like my chest is nearly invisible so I take what help I can get.   But I HATE adjusting them!

    Update, the pads are not removable. BOO!  

    But I tried them all on.  Some stuff is going back, but I didn't want to light myself on fire in the ones that worked.  :D

    Oh Conn I feel your pain on the swimsuits - I just want one that holds them in place in a relatively rounded shape instead of allowing them to go into post-baby pancake position!  Really - is it so much to ask for a swimsuit to support while lifting and separating??  I don't care if it's a built in underwire bra that I need to clasp in back - just build the thing in so I can have a level of self-respect left as it's already painful enough to put a swimsuit on in the first place..

    My vent: I freaking HATE technology today!!  I'm trying to take an audio file from my laptop and put it on my tablet.  NBD right?!?!?  The laptop won't recognize the tablet being plugged in to it so can't just copy it over...  Then tried drop box, tried one drive... NOPE!  Won't bring the files over.. <bangs head because it feels so good when I stop!> The problem is, this is homework for me that isn't as easy to do with the laptop because they're audio files (who's kidding who, it's easier to listen to with a headset on while soaking in the tub as a multi-task)...

    My big boobied sisters - check out Freya and Curvy Kate. I'm a 34 H and those brands have swimsuits in bra sizes. They can be expensive, but I bought a Curvy Kate bikini on Zulily for under $40 a couple weeks ago.

    Apparently SIL wants to throw herself a 'gender reveal party.' In less than 2.5 weeks. At H's parents, 3 hours away. Uggggggh. And because H's family sucks at planning anything, I don't even know for certain that this is what is happening. H got a text from his mom Monday night saying that they were thinking about going to visit SIL at her new house but SIL said she was thinking about coming home and doing the party. OMG make up your damn minds people; some of us need advance fucking notice!

    Ds1 (13) woke up howling in pain this morning.  Incoherent, rocking on the floor, clutching his belly pain.  Hurt to touch.  No nausea, just pain.  Ex-h insisted it was appendix related, so I loaded up the babies and took ds1 to the ER.  3 hours later, turns out he's literally full of shit.  The boy was so backed up, I'm surprised his eyes aren't brown.  Mama ain't happy.

    My best friend isn't finding out what her baby is until it's born.... Which should only be another 2 or 3 more weeks :smiley:

    We were surprised with DD and found out with DS.   My logic was that DH really wanted a boy.   We knew we would love our kids but I knew we would be trying for a 3rd if #2 was a girl and I didn't want to know that while exhausted.     But our "reveal" consisted of whispering it in DD'S ear and she told our parents when we celebrated my birthday.   I loathe the concept that we need another party.

    I would like to vent about work but can't due to privacy concerns. I'll just say that when people are upset/angry, they should wait 24 hours before acting on it. I was at the receiving end of a very inappropriate conversation. Now I'm stressed out. I carry all my stress in my upper back and shoulders ... now I look like the hunchback. Lovely! I think I'll have me a beer and attempt to think of ways to decrease my stress.

    Had that unexpectedly happen when I was PG with DS (and to make it worse I was making the wedding cake for DH's cousin as their gift when it happened!) - OMG one can't believe how much that hurts! (don't ask how much hydromorphone they gave me for it but let's just say it was a lot!)  Here's hoping he gets moving soon!!!   FOS is NOT good!!!

    At this point we may not even be having any, but we decided long ago even if we did find out ourselves, we weren't going to tell. I'm willing to bet too that she's expecting gifts as if it were a shower. We won't be bringing one. I'll get our new nibling something for Christmas.

    @drglitter people seriously have no couth anymore. I'm sorry for your loss.

    I also hate sex reveal parties. How your baby pees is really nbd to anyone but the parents. The only one I've been to, the mom already knew and had this smug look on her face.

    I didn't, I'm type A though and I needed to find out which of my friends to hit up for hand-me-downs. 

    My vent, it's so freaking hot. it's supposed to his 46*C with the humidex today (115*F). Thankfully all the pools in our area (there are 5 rec centres) are free when there are heat warnings. I'm going to take DS tomorrow while FI cleans the house. Thank god for central air!

    Yeah, I'm having some feels/venting this morning.

    @drglitter  sorry to hear :( sometimes people don't know what to say when things happen unexpectedly. When my dad passed unexpectedly people would just stare at me and I knew it was because they just didn't have the words :(

    @ShesSoCold  urgg credit irks me! At least he's not using payday loan places! I work in a place I see a lot of people using them and I feel they should be set on fire.


    On the gender reveal party idea; I like it but I don't plan on making it a full on party with a lot of people. It'll likely be just our parents, and grandparents who are able to make it. I'm an only child and oldest grandchild by 7yrs, and for my H his cousin is having a baby but she's moving a few months before baby is born.
    Also there's an ongoing joke that my H's side cannot create females so we want to see if we can break the cycle ;)

    @MissKittyDanger my FI got so wrapped up in payday loans before I met him that he'd get a paycheck for 2 weeks with 20 hours of OT, buy groceries for two weeks, pay his utilities, take his mom to breakfast, and he'd be broke the following Tuesday. When he finally confessed to me what happened, I told him it was unacceptable and he paid them off within a month! It was really hard for him, but he's so happy now and actually saving money. His mom told me, "If you're the reason he's got money in savings now, Thank you."

    My sex reveal was inviting the parents to the anatomy scan and we all learned together what I was having.

    @DrillSergeantCat  My FIL is awful with money and my H was headed down that road, and the other day my MIL said she was so glad I was able to curb that. They're divorced, but FIL always had issues :(

    It would be a lovely idea to invite people to scan, but there's so many people (10 people with parents and grandparents) who would want to know that I'm just making it fun :)

    @MissKittyDanger I get that. We have no living grandparents and his father passed away two years ago so there was just 5 of us total. I don't have anything against sex reveals as long as everyone finds out together. My niece's just really turned me off because she knew.
