  @Swazzle yay for normal commutes and double yay for movie theater popcorn... That liquid butter grosses me out every time I pump it into the bag but it tastes SO FREAKIN GOOD I just don't care. 
  
  My night was uneventful as well... H and I made dinner (brie and strawberry jam grilled cheese... oh lawd) and then hid in the bedroom because the rest of the apartment was just so. damn. hot. Got meh sleep because Crindy still loves to meow through the night - we keep having to shut her in the bathroom and I feel horrible about it.
  
  Got up at 5am to run and now here I am at work... This afternoon is our annual office outing. We ferry out to a nearby island and have a big seafood lunch and drink lots of beer and play lawn games all afternoon. It's usually pretty fun but I'm in total preservation mode considering it's going to be 95 today - I've been drinking water like crazy.

  @PamBeesly524 BRIE and JAM!!! OMG yum! I love Brie! I was actually thinking about making baked brie soon with some apricot preserves or something....I could eat it all day.

  Yesterday I finally got to go to CrossFit. I'm actually a little sore today which doesn't surprise me since I haven't worked out in two weeks. I made Hot Jalapeno Corn Dip for small group and it was pretty noms. The spicy kick came a bit after you ate it so it kind of fools you for a little.
  
  Yesterday I also took Maddux to the groomers...I didn't realize he smelled so bad until I came and picked him up and the groomer said she had to give him multiple baths because he was very stinky. In my mind...I think oh shit I'm a horrible furmom and then I'm like...whatever he is a dog and just came back from a week at the beach eating all kinds of stuff playing with other dogs so yes of course he is stinky.
  
  Tonight DH is working so fingers crossed for a calm chill Callie night with no screaming. She woke up at 1am screaming because she rolled into her crib slats and bumped her head. I pulled her into bed with us because I felt awful. I didn't get to watch The Men Tell All last night because I was so exhausted so that's my plan after Callie goes to bed!

  @PamBeesly524  I've never heard of that grilled cheese but I'm thinking I may have to try it! Have you ever had a grilled peanut butter sandwich? You might like!

  Not much last night. Matt wanted to get a photo taken for his hunting license, but the location is only open 10-5 boo! Ended up going for dinner with a gift card we got, so that means leftovers for lunch!
  Since I still had a mild headache, I ended up resting on the couch and fell asleep .... guh that messes up my sleep so bad.
  
  Anyways .... ran into my landlord this morning - which is nerve wracking since we dropped out 60 day notice last night.
  August may be the last month we pay! Which will be great because we can put some of that money towards things we need to do We find out soon.
  
  
  Not much tonight. Probably laundry and more packing. Really need to hit that locker!

  Last night we had dinner at my sister's.  Emmy has started the "everything goes in her mouth" phase Tonight is family night part two, but with my dad.
  
  Also, I love family gardens.  I have not had to buy vegetables in weeks between my sister's garden and my coworkers.  Right now I have about 10 cucumbers, a bunch of string beans, a bag of lettuce, and a bag of broccoli leaves.

  @speakeasy14 Yay for family time! My Uncle gave us cucs a few weeks ago, they were HUGE!!
  
  When I got home last night I caught up on my shows until BF got home. He had called our friends and they were going to bring the pups over for AGT and dinner so BF bought a ton of taco stuff. When our friend got home to grab the pups, he noticed that their little one, Stella, chewed the hose on the back of their toilet and their basement was flooded! So needless to say they didn't come over and we had a ton of extra food and a sad pup (she knows their names and we had told her they were coming. Poor things kept looking out the window for them.)
  
  My assistant coach came over last night with a scrapbook that she made of our cheer trip to Nationals. I am well aware that was a ploy from her to try to make me not step down from coaching. It was really cool to see and we can't wait to show the girls. 
  
  I also got a text from the coordinator saying she got the practice days changed, but I am not sure I believe it. I will find out tomorrow at the coaches meeting and make my final decision. I really don't want to give up on the girls this late in the year, but I also have to remember my time is valuable and I can't compromise that.

  It's another calm morning around here. Zoey is snoozing, and I'm drinking tea and catching up with everyone before I start my day. I don't have much on the agenda-- gym, cleaning, packing, cooking, and probably sewing. 
  
  Tomorrow we leave for Charleston at an ungodly hour. With all the issues Southwest has been having the last week-ish, we'll probably need to get to the airport extra early. Allegedly they're back up and running, but I've heard reports of cancelled and delayed flights from yesterday. Hopefully tomorrow goes smoothly. We come back on Monday, so it will be a nice, very long weekend filled with breweries, antiquing, plantations, Fort Sumter, Patriots Point, the aquarium, and tons of good food.

  @PamBeesly524 – I want one of those grilled cheeses so badly!! Is there anything training wise that you can do to help with cats that meow all the time? ……….. Your afternoon sounds amazing. My work can’t have any events with alcohol and it’s STUPID.

  @MissKittyDanger – 60 days! You’re so close!

  @speakeasy14 – My coworkers pretty much only bring in zucchini. And it’s always HUGE zucchini. They need to get more diversity in their gardens.

  @LizzyTish88 – That’s such a bummer that Tessie’s friends didn’t get to come over! I bet she WAS bummed, poor little lady. I hope you’re able to make the right decision for yourself about cheer coaching. It’s hard when you’ve put so much of your heart and sweat into it.

  @eilis1228 – That sounds like such an awesome trip! I hope the flights aren’t too much of a hassle.

  My list of chores for today is INSANE. Luckily some of it is stuff I have to do online, and I don't have a ton of stuff on my plate at work today, so..........

  Has anyone ever had bacon jam (jelly)? I went out to lunch with my friend yesterday, and her burger had bacon jam on it. I took a bite of the burger, and it basically tasted like it has slices of bacon on it. It was SO GOOD and I could find so many uses for something like that!

  @AlPacina bacon jam is the best thing ever! Our local music festival has a vendor that gives out samples, pretty sure we stood at her stand for an hour last year.

  Re: sandwich. You guys have to try it - we originally got the recipe in our BA box. Last night we used a french baguette for bread. To make the jam you just put cut up strawberries, brown sugar and a little lemon juice and salt on the stove and cook it down. Plop that on the brie and bread and cook away. Seriously delicious.
  
  Re: cat. @AlPacina I've looked up a ton of stuff on how to get her to stop meowing and the biggest consensus is to ignore her! If i tried to reprimand her she would see it as some sort of reaction and would continue to do it. It's been a month though and she never stops, so unless something is wrong with her (besides her snotty nose she seems fine), I literally have no idea what to do with her. I'm hoping she calms down once summer is over and it gets cooler out but who the heck knows.

  I was up super-late trying yet again to organize the crafting closet, which this time meant winding more cakes of yarn. I think I am actually managing to condense it down some, but ... it's frustrating to work that long on a project and feel like I'm making no progress. Blech.
  
  Tonight is church, then H has gaming - he's joining a new group. I'm going to knit, maybe start on a new cushion I've had my eye on making. If I get it right, it will have all four HP house crests on it.
  
  Oh, and last night we had the Philly Market Roasted Pork Hoagies and they were some of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten. I'm now in love with broccoli rabe and sad because I have no clue where I'm going to find it up here.

  @alpacina I have not tried bacon jam yet. They have at TJ's and I plan to buy it soon. I know it doesn't look pretty, but bacon in a spreadable form is worth trying!

  Last night was super hot and sticky, so we just stayed in and watched married at first sight. This show is officially a guilty pleasure. We had chicken quesadillas and salad for dinner. Tonight I am hoping my H will want to go out for wing night at our fav wing place. I am on a mission to try all of their flavors!
  
  So far today has been a productive day. I wanted to start early with errands this morning since it's going to be too hot later in the day. I went to the post office, target and bank. Once I got home I showered and started cleaning weird spaces in my house...you know like the wood underneath your dresser, the far back of the top shelf in my closet, etc. Exciting! 
  
  Now I am just chillin on the couch reading stuff/organizing stuff for the upcoming school year. There's not much more I can do to prep which scares me. My school is being completely renovated and we cannot return back to our school until 8/26, which is not enough time to set everything up. Just thinking about it gives me stupid anxiety.

  @speakeasy14 We start on 8/31, of course a Wednesday. That gives us 3 days to unpack. That's assuming everything comes back on time and in an orderly fashion. I have about 20 boxes to unpack, but some crazy teachers have like 50 boxes. I'm almost sure my principal will send an email to families/students telling them to excuse the appearance of classrooms lol
  
  @AlPacina Glad I can help you get all of the bacon! You can also tell yourself that it's "healthy" because it's TJ's.

  @southernpeach89 Wow- summer isn't even over! People already complain that we go back before labor day. I can't even imagine going back early August. It's great that you got to go on vacation before he goes back. And I hope it's a good start of year for your H!

  Last night I helped H fill in some cracks in the siding by drinking wine and handing him stuff up the ladder when he asked for it. When it was all said and done, he finally said that there's too much damage and aging throughout so I guess we're officially back on the 'replace our siding' train. I got some quotes earlier in the year but they were outrageous and I hated the materials the contractors were offering so we ended up backing off the project. Anyway, I ended up reaching out to some different companies last night and I got a basic estimate this morning from one of them and it was WAY better than I expected and it's for a siding material that I actually like. He's coming back for an official estimate on Friday soooo yay! Even though it's still going to suck to spend this much money...our house is going to look really awesome and it will add value.
  
  I also went on a mini birthday shopping spree at the plant nursery and bought some perennials for the front yard. 'Chapel Hill' Lantana and a 'Miss Molly' butterfly bush. Both plants ttract lots of butterflies and hummingbirds so I am super exciting

  @Swazzle can you tell me about this Instant Pot chicken recipe? H got me an Instant Pot for my birthday, but I have not ventured far beyond beans (holy shit, you can make beans in 30 minutes!) and a few other things. But shredded chicken sounds like a great idea. 
  
  Also, I have to close my eyes when previews for Lights Out come on TV, so no way in hell I could handle the actual movie. I like scary movies, but I very much dislike creepy silhouettes with long stringy hair that move closer when you aren't looking.

  @madamerwin - Last night I put in 2lbs of chicken breast with some seasonings and a jar of salsa then turned it on manual for 15 minutes, did a quick release of the pressure and VOILA! Shredded each breast on a plate then tossed it back in and stirred the sauce and used the meat for tacos. 
  
  I made THIS recipe last week for Lentil and Chicken Soup and it was incredible. H loved it too and I brought some to work for my coworkers to try and 3 of them went out and bought an Instant Pot after tasting it.
