How did you come up with your screen name?

edited August 2016 in Chit Chat
Mine was basically a dare on TB. As some of you have seen, I can be rather blunt and someone didn't particularly care for it (hold your shock) and called me drill sergeant. My first name is Catherine, my friends call me Cat, so DrillSergeantCat was born.

  • Quantum physicist with blonde hair. Also a nickname when I was in school.
I've been wondering what your profession is because I see you talking about your job!
  • I'm proud of my city (Saint Paul, MN) and "gal" is my favorite self-descriptor.  (less minimizing than "girl," less formal than "woman.")  Not terribly imaginative, but it works.
  • Charlotte is my cat's name. And the numbers are the random knottie#s I was assigned when I first joined and didn't change them.

My avatar is my world view.
Mine is a garden full of tulips at the Topkapi Palace. Have I mentioned how much I love tulips?

Everyone was so original and creative!
Mine are me and DH's first names...not sure why I included him since he probably doesn't know TK exists :D
  • I work as a nurse in an ER. My first name starts with a J. I'm not very creative! My avatar is a 'piñata hospital'. I got the card during nurses week a few years ago and loved it. I took a picture of it and I use it for everything!

I love my dog, Charlotte Elizabeth (PS she was born before the little princess was, so she's fancy)

edited to add, 6/26 is my anniversary
  • As an Austen lover, I was torn between Lady Catherine and Mr. Woodhouse. I decided to use a quote from Mr. Woodhouse in my signature and Lady Catherine de Bourgh for my name, but I had to shorten it.

  • I have an unhealthy obsession with Downton Abbey.

Mine is a short form of my (very Dutch) future married last name. FI uses it for his stuff, so I adopted it for TK :)

  • I'm a big Counting Crows fan (don't judge me too harshly, haha!) so this has been my SN on a few places I actually want to be remembered.
