  "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" has been stuck in my head since yesterday. I'm not even a country music fan. I'm currently listening to Foo Fighters to chase it out.

  I don't know why, but I LOVE that song.  I've always thought it would be a good vehicle for a heavy metal version.  I even heard Charlie Daniels sing it in person at a local fair a few years ago.

  Funny anecdote about that song.  I had a compilation CD in my car once that had that song on it.  I valet parked my car and, when one of the attendants brought it back, it happened to be on that song.  He asked me, "Who is this artist?"  But with a cute, slightly stilted Eastern European accent.  I was like, "Oh! That's the Charlie Daniels Band.  It's a fun song, huh?"  And we talked about it for a minute or so.

  I felt good for introducing the awesomeness of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," to a stranger from a foreign land, lol.
