Baby Names - Random, I know

This is such a fun thread! My FI and I have both resolved that we're waiting until AT LEAST thirty before we start trying (so 3-4 years from now). The two of us have been trading off for school (first I did bachelors, then he did, then I did my master's, now he is), so we want some time together where we have some disposable income and neither of us is a student before bringing a kiddo into the mix.

However, we've had an incredibly easy time of it when it comes to numbers and names. Both of us want 2, and in our first ever conversation about names, he shared that he had always imagined having a son named Jackson, or a daughter named Grace (call her Gracie when she's little). I had picked those two names out as my favorites in HIGH SCHOOL! Since his family has a tradition of honoring fathers (He has two middle names, both his grandfather's names), we're thinking a boy would be Jackson James Christopher Frank (it's a lot, I know), after both of our dads. For a girl, I always loved the name Annie, which is my mom's name. However, with a last name of Frank, that's just asking for a lifetime of teasing, so I think we'll go with Grace Hannah, after my sister.

Is anyone else not scared about having and raising a kid- but about the whole preganacy part.
I know there are a few of my friends that want honeymoon babies and cant wait to be pregnant and i am liek "seriously"

it all seems so... primal to me. Like not anything about it seems appealing. It all seems totally gross and painful and awful.

that is the part that scres me. I would have more than 1 child if they just appeared from a stork. I wish i still believed in that!

Boy: Breton William or Breton Scott. Breton is from a man that had a HUGE influence on both of our lives right after college. William is my grandpa's name and brothers middle name. Scott is both FI's and his fathers' middle name.

Girl: Lilly Ann. Not much of a story behind the Lilly part. We were watching "How I Met Your Mother" one time, and FI commented that he liked Lilly as a girls name. I agreed, and we agreed we would name our daughter that. Ann is both of our Mothers' middle names, and I love the affect Ann gives her name. Makes it "Lillianne" without being called Lilly as a nickname.

Aww i missed most of the convo but ill chime in now haha.
I have 2 boys already Cole Andrew, and William Edward.

FI and I totally have baby fever and have for awhile but decided to wait til after the wedding and our house is finished. Hopefully in a year or so.

Since this will be our last kid im hoping for a girl who will be either Layla Alane or Joselyn Alane. If its a boy which we will still love were thinking Tristan.

Thats awesome cause I thought I was the only one on here with kids lol. On a previous post everyone did pics of their animals I was the only one with human kids haha

Thats what happened to me! My oldest son was supposed to be Aiden Matthew but when I held him I said nope hes a Cole.

FI and I already picked out our boy name: Roman David.
His initials are RDS, so we want to keep them the same for the first boy.
Other boy names I like are Luca, Emeric, and Declan.
For girls, my favorite girl name has always been Jasmine! Probably Jasmine Marie because my middle name is Marie. I also like Liberty, Camryn, and Rowan for girls.

This is so fun! I am totally obsessed with names because I work with kids, so I'm constantly thinking about names. It's fun to see what the parents where I work name their children. There are definitely some kids that I think "I will never use that name!" because they are such terrors haha.

I used my favorite boys names on our cats...oops. So no Henry or Sammy (Samuel) because then we'd be naming the kids after the cats! Hmm, for girls I just know I like our grandmother's names "Lillian" and "Josephina" (Pina for short!) And we like sort of odd middle names but really, not much thought about the names, mostly just petrified about not being able to get pregnant. I'm 31 now but we aren't planning on havving a kid for another two years after the wedding. I mean, my mom was 31 when she had me- and then had another 5 kids! So, yeah, dunno why I'm so worried but I guess it's all natural.

omg great thread! I love reading all your name suggestions! I`m still quite young (21) and FI and i have decided to wait until im at LEAST 25 to start thinking about it. By the time we`re married I will have graduated with my degree and be working and stuff, but because of my degree choice (Business) and where I want to be in my life, it`s important to me to have a good start in my career before taking time off for babies :P We also only want 1 kid. Mainly because we`re both from large families but we`re very quiet people, and we want to get away from yelling and screaming as much as possible. plus, I think with one you can devote all of your energies on making the kid the best it can be :P

FI really, REALLY wants a girl, and I`m partial to girls as well, but we wont discriminate lol! The only name we could agree on is Hannah Catherine Jayne, Hannah because we love the name, Catherine is my moms name and Jayne is his moms middle name I LOVE Avery and Evelynn, but FI thinks avery is for birds and evelynn is for old ladies :P I`ll have to work on that :P

For boys, we both love Ciaran, the full name would be Ciaran William Alexander. his moms name is kerry, so its similar, william is a very popular name in both of our families and alexander is FI`s name.
