In spite of our snowstorm, she was enroute there, and my dad was following.
(I have their dog and have been doing what I can--which is precious little, unfortunately)

So, maybe an improved holding pattern.

Dad spent the night in a hotel near the rehab place (he had initially insisted I didn't need to take his dog, he'd be back home last but I didn't want hi having that pressure and I knew the roads were squirrley. So that's why I stole his dog. Which has peed and pooped in my house, and stolen all of my old dog's bones.

The roads up there are bad (not shocking, he drove straight into lake effect) so the drive took him forever. He got her checked in by 10 pm (she had already gotten there, but dad had promised he would be there to tell her goodnight before bed, so she had refused to go to bed until he came).

TOday he's waiting for the intake meeting w/ the SW and the doc--I'm not driving up there yet, but might tomorrow (or later tonight if I'm needed). I figure they'll be plowed out eventually.

(also, in things that have been happening in the background, my SIL had her baby via emergency c-section last night, about 36 hours after induction proved to be less than productive for her. Baby and mom are fine.)

@GBCK, what a whirlwind time for you! I'm hope everything is as good as it can be for your mom. Glad to hear your SIL and baby are doing well, but poor SIL! That's a marathon delivery experience.
