    I have lunch errands to run:  cash for the handyman who is leveling the spot for the trampoline (DH finally gave up after he hurt his back trying to do it), Target, and Ulta.  I am spending $$$ on new eyeshadow and primer, and I have zero regrets.

    What primer are you looking at?  I've started using Too Faced Shadow Insurance and it's amazeballs.  It's about $20 for the teensy tube and worth every penny.

    I have a Sephora GC from my bday and I am having the hardest time deciding what to get.  I know I can wait, but I want to spend it NOW.  :D

    I will have to check that out!  I was planning to get the Urban Decay Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer Potion.  I'm also leaning toward the UD Naked2 or Naked3 eyeshadow palette, but I'm open to suggestions.
    I have the Naked Smokey Eye palette and I love it.  I don't think you can go wrong with UD primer or the Naked palettes.

    I'm skeered to do the smoky eye IRL!  I'm afraid I'd look like a juggalo.*

    ETA: *Not that there's anything wrong with that!  You do you.
    It's actually pretty neutral and I've been practicing so I can figure out what works and what doesn't. The brush that comes with it is tres excellent.

    I've definitely had a few 'juggalo' moments.  But I figure that's good practice for the face-painting booth I'm going to set up at the Juggalo march.

  • @mrsconn23, I'm sorry to hear about your friend's dad!  My own father had a fatal, totally unexpected heart attack at 49.  He was in great shape!  Exercised and ate well.  We chose to have an autopsy done and apparently he had a heart defect that had never been diagnosed in his lifetime.  Sometimes, you just never know.  It's always terrible to lose a parent, but I can sympathize with your friend and @MissKittyDangerthat it can be especially reeling when it comes out of nowhere.

    @sparklepants41, I'm not pregnant, but I was itching like CRAZY last night.  It seemed like half my skin itched.  My H told me the humidity had dropped way down yesterday and that is probably what was causing it.  Living in the South has apparently ruined me, lol.  Now I need excessive moisture in the air at all times or my skin goes nuts.

    @VarunaTT, a Frito Pie for breakfast sounds amazing, lol.  I think we all need days like that.

    Today after my work half-day, I am doing some grocery shopping and going to our new duplex to take rental ad pics that my H can't seem to ever do right (see my rant from yesterday).  This evening, my H and I are doing our p/t IC job together, picking up a cool gift from Harrahs (Mardi Gras polo shirt), and then trying out a new restaurant for dinner.  We haven't decided where yet.

    Saturday, same p/t IC job with H in the morning.  Then we have a brunch mystery shop at one of our fave restaurants.

    Sunday, probably putter around the house and do some cooking...waiting for the Superbowl to finally come on.  It's times like these I miss living in CA.  Where the Superbowl started in the late afternoon, lol.  We kinda dislike both teams, so it's a sad one for us.  Hopefully the ads will be good, lol.

    Sidenote, I don't generally dislike the Patriots, but I'm tired of them winning so many SBs in recent history.  Sorry @sparklepants41 and any other Pats fans on here.  But then, Atlanta is the longtime rival of my Saints and are in the same division.  So I can't root for them either.  And not that the Saints were much competition for them this year, ugh.

    @Heffalump Odd question, what's your skin colouring and eye colour? I'm fair and blue eyes so Naked 3 works better for me.

    I was actually kind of leaning toward the 3 for that reason.  Fair, green eyes here.  I think you just helped me make up my mind.  :)
    OMG NAKED 3 WILL LOOK AMAZING FOR YOU!!!
    Two of my friends have green-ish eyes {one fair, other olive toned} and I did they're makeup with Naked 3 and it was amazing! There's dark colours that you can play with to attempt at smokey eye
  • @AtomicBlonde I told you I felt like a new person, so IDK if it was a placebo or not, but I'll take it.  And it's fast to go insomnia, low energy, and general blahness if I don't take my supplements for more than a week (really it seems like 3-4 days, but I'll say a week just to be fair).
  • @AtomicBlonde  I've heard many people that end up with a VitD deficiency start to feel like a whole new person once it's balanced out. Glad to hear it's helping :) {Tbh apparently a lot of dr's check VitD before diagnosing mental illness}

    Yay bookshelves!!
  • @AtomicBlonde hooray for you feeling better! And for Vitamin D! And for your bookcases! I love new things that help me organize - drawer dividers, bookcases, filing cabinets - I'm doing a happy dance for you!
  • Huzzah to feeling better, @AtomicBlonde!

    I'm so sorry about your friend's dad, @mrsconn23.

    Tonight, FW and I are going to a play. My brother isn't in the cast this time; he's working backstage instead.

    Tomorrow, I'm going to a social justice teach-in. I'm really excited, but I can't decide which workshop to go to, because they all sound amazing! After that, I meet with my sponsor, then probably a chill night at home because FW is going to be hanging out with a friend.

    Sunday, I'm going to sleep in and do some laundry, then we're going to FW's BFF's to watch the Super Bowl. Truth be told, I'm not that interested in who wins; I'm just in it for the food, the commercials, and listening to one of our friends reading all the tweets.

    I'm doing a happy dance for you too, Atomic! I'm so happy to hear that you're feeling better.

  • @VarunaTT, I wanted to believe it when you told me.  It seems to be true!  (Or I believed it enough that it just proves the placebo effect, haha.) Blows my mind that a simple vitamin has such a dramatic effect on every aspect of an individual.

  • @kimmiinthemitten  welcome to the undercut life, you'll never go back ;)

    @Heffalump  ooh!
  • @kimmiinthemitten LOVE the new cut. it's adorable.

    @Heffalump nice choice!! Love those colors.

    @OliveOilsMom yay for a healthy baby!

  • @OliveOilsMom that's fantastic news that your baby is healthy!!! And I think what your H saw in the ultrasound totally gives you permission to eat more marshmallows - in the name of helping that healthy baby of yours grow  ;)
  • @thefrancisbeckler, who the hell brings someone w/strep in.  ANd of COURSE it's contagious, that's why he's not allowed to be in friggin school.

    And on that topic, I woke up w/o a voice today.  I'm supposed to be driving home from making ice-cream with first graders at this moment, but I was doing frantic texts (can't call) to find someone to cover when I was whisper-shouting at the kiddo to get her butt out of bed today.

    And I had to let the cold meds wear off so I can go pick her up from school in a few.
