Wedding Party

Another round of "WPB Makes All of My Decisons"

Decision the first: All of my attendants are getting nice books, and I'd like to write them a note as well.  Which would you prefer?
a) write the entire note and wedding date on the inside cover
b) write "To BM, From Aerin 4/23/10" in the cover and the rest of the note on a separate sheet
c) don't write anything inside and just do a separate sheet

Decision the second: I'm looking for a pair of platform shoes on eBay that are comfy enough to walk around the Vegas Strip for two hours, but high enough that my dress stays off the ground.  Which pair?  They're currently pretty comparable in price on eBay.

I'll bet you'll all be glad when my wedding's over and you don't have to plan it anymore.  ;)

Those are both NMS, but I like the second one better.  Victorias Secret has a lot of wedge flip flops, I was considering a pair for the reception but decided it wasn't worth it once I started breaking in my shoes.

Edit - For the books, the first option unless it would be a long note.
  • I like having notes in the book, so I will always have it and know where the book came from, also it makes the book more meaningful, particularly if there is a reason between the two of you that you chose that book.  At the same time many people hate it, so maybe do it differently for each?

  • Hmm, those aren't too bad, shorti, but I'm worried they won't be much more comfortable than the heels I already have...

  • For the books, the first option.

For the shoes, I don't like either pair but I'd go with the first. the second pair looks hard to walk around in all night long because it seems clunky and heavy. I can see lots of trips and falls, especially after one too many drinks.

  • True.  I had platform sandals years ago and I remember them being comfy but difficult to walk in.  I like wedge sandals better but I've never tried ones that were that high.
  • I'd like the note in the book ... unless it's a novel (The note, not the book, haha), then do it on nice paper or cardstock and place it in the book.

As for the shoes, neither are really my style (I do like the ones Gotta reccomended) ... but I'd go with the first pair, they look more comfy to me.

  • I also like the note in the book.

I'd pick the first shoes but only because I hate stuff between my toes so the second pair would drive me batty.

  • I think you should do an inscription in the book.

  • I'm going to be different and vote b just because I personally would probably write a really long note, and I wouldn't want something that long in a book. But if you're a little less long-winded than I am, then go for a.

For shoes, I think the first option looks a little dressier.

I'm with Emily on this. I would write so much, so I would go with option B and I like the first shoes better.

[QUOTE]I like option A, unless like others have said, it's a "novel".  Then go with B.  And I also like the first shoes--it looks like the second ones would be much easier to trip over.

This. Also, back when those shoes first came in style I bought a pair like the second option. I ended up twisting my ankle pretty bad and had to be off of it for two weeks. They turn over really easily so be careful.

Quick Tip from a bridal magazine: A wedding coordinator once wrote to prevent your feet from aching take a second pair of shoes and keep them "on ice" or in the vendor's freezer. When you feet start hurting put on the cold pair and the pain will go away.

    Option A for the book,

And shoe 2.  The first one looks like it is plastic straps which could have the potential to rub and create blisters. I really like Reef Laiser- they are leather and extremely comfortable.  I feel like they are a little more dressy.

ETA: I got a pair of platform flipflops like pair 2 once and they are difficult to walk in.  I like a shoe that can kinda bend as I walk.

    What size do you wear?
dont make ur password so easy. gbck2CA2 hahahaha
  • My big feet are too big to send you the ones I don't wear :( sorry

  • Aerin - yeah I thought it was a weird idea but I tried it and it worked. I wore 3.5 " heals to work one day and got home and put on a different pair that was cold. My feet didn't feel great the next day but that didn't matter.
