Reception Venue - Chicago Suburbs

Hi There,

We are looking for recommendations for a reception venue in the Chicagoland suburbs.  We are open to WI as far North as Kenosha, as well.  We will have approximately 130-150 guests, and would like to keep the venue and meal cost (including taxes and gratuity) under $10,000, if possible.

    Hi,
    I'm sorry but that's really broad. There are search tools here on TK that could help with recommendations. You have to think about style too- outdoors? gardens or barns? Golf clubs? Banquet halls? All-inclusive versus bringing in catering? From what I hear, with your budget, banquet halls may be affordable but golf clubs perhaps not, for example.

    @thisismynickname is correct.  Your criteria is impossibly broad and vague.  What season/time of the year are you considering?  Are you willing to have your wedding on a Friday evening or Sunday?  All these factors can add or decrease costs to your event.

    Have you done any google searches for wedding venues in Lake County or  McHenry County? Where is your ceremony being held?  Typically you do not want your guests to travel farther than 30 minutes between a ceremony and reception location.
