  • Traveling
    reading
    scrapbooking/card making
    yoga
    cooking/baking

*reading my short list, I don’t think I have enough hobbies.
  • What my hobbies are in my dreams:
    traveling
    yoga
    sailing
    scuba
    painting

    what they are in reality:
    horse riding
    listening to true crime podcasts
cleaning the house (not a hobby but sure does take up all my f-ing time)
    drinking
    quilting, sporadically.
  • Hobbies:

    reading
    crocheting
    knitting
    video games
    baking
    gardening
    sewing
    writing

FI and I go to the movies in the mornings on weekends and holidays, or we drop the munchkin off at grandma’s for an overnight.
  • Reading, creative writing, cooking
  • What my hobbies are in my dreams:
    traveling
    yoga
    sailing
    scuba
    painting

    horse riding

    quilting, sporadically.

Any good true crime podcasts you can recommend? I love that kind of stuff.
  • H and I just recently bought a raft and now go whitewater rafting whenever we can :)

I also hike, ski, snowmobile, go boating every chance I get, and read.

Very fun to see what everyone else likes to do!

I don't do these things on a regular basis, but I do enjoy:

    New restaurants
    Wood painting
Bingo (I go to coach purse bingo twice a year)
Theatre/Musicals (I bought the season pass for the 2017/18 Broadway touring season)

I do like cooking to relax.  I will spend an entire Sunday afternoon in the kitchen.  I love new recipes or trying to make things I like but have never attempted before.  I love podcasts, so I listen to a ton of them...Many are true crime.  DH and I are contemplating starting to home brew again.  We got out of it due to his insane work schedule, but we might be able to do it with his new job.

My Favorite Murder (This is my #1 podcast.  I saw them live in April, front row and did a meet and greet.)
    The Generation Why
    Once Upon a Crime
    Criminial
Sword and Scale (this one can be pretty damn graphic)
    True Crime Garage
    Serial
    Best Case, Worst Case
    Last Podcast on the Left
    In the Dark
    Hanging
Zealot (this one is about cults and based out of Australia, but it's still really good)
    Crimetown
Truth and Justice with Bob Ruff
    Undisclosed

I'll add more when I think of them.

I listen to the following non-true crime podcasts too:

    Death, Sex, Money
    The Moth
    Pod Save America
    Vox: The Weeds
    Bitch Sesh

MrsConn and I listen to a lot of the same but I will add,

    Casefile
    And Thats Why We Drink
Someone Knows Something (new season potential coming out soon)

    Non-True Crime:
    The Dollop
Getting Around To It (an old high school acquaintance guest starred on this program and since I needed something to listen to I gave it a go, ending up liking it so kept listening. They pick a culturally significant movie and watch with a guest who has never seen it, like Forrest Gump or Hellraiser)
    Song Exploder
  • I can't decide if sewing is a hobby or not. I get frustrated with it easily when I do things wrong. It doesn't help that I learned how to quilt from someone, so I know the basics, but I never had anyone teach me to sew clothes, which is VERY different. Teaching myself to sew clothes results in doing lots of things wrong and taking hours just to figure out the pattern and cut the fabric.

I started teaching myself the piano about two years ago, and up until maybe the past month, I would have said this exact same thing about it. IMO, it's not the greatest hobby when you're just frustrating yourself to tears with something, BUT, it's worth it anyway. I knew I wanted to learn this, so I kept going and balanced it with other stuff, and now I actually enjoy sitting down to play. Eventually I will repeat the process with the guitar. It gets better! Don't give up!

Other than piano, my hobbies are:
    Singing
Composing music (nothing super good yet, though)
Writing fiction - I wrote a novel last year for funsies, and now that I know I can, I've started a second one that is actually better
    Reading
    Running
    Yoga

I really want to start crocheting again. I bought all the stuff and then got lazy and never touched it, lol.

This list makes my life sound so much fuller than it actually is. I do this stuff at least a couple of times a week, but never for huge chunks of time. I feel like I have such limited energy for being constructive, and then the rest of the time it's watching Property Brothers and browsing Pinterest.
  • My hobbies include:

    Running
    Yoga
    Spinning
    Reading
    Photography
Gardening (never thought I would ever say that lol)
    Baking
Getting “lost”/“in a zone” on a long walk

Lately, aside from long walks, my hobbies mostly include sleeping and showering.
