Day of Groom's gift

For the longest time, I had no idea what to get my FI for a day off gift. Then I stumbled on a calender key chain that had the day of our wedding stamped on it. I ordered it and it got here today! Here it is :-) Lol now he has no excuse for forgetting our anniversary ;-)

That's cute! I got FI some golf club head covers from his alma mater. We're getting married at a golf course, and I figure I'll get our anniversary date embroidered on them, so whenever he goes/we go golfing, he'll think of our wedding.

Do you think I should get him something more 'weddingy'? We agreed not to spend too much money on those gifts.

That's such a great idea! JP is a HUGE golfer. Where did you get them from?!

cu97tiger, I think the head covers are a great idea! I would've loved to have gotten my FI something like that. Sadly, his only hobby is playing video games....

Totally clueless what to get FI. The only thing I've thought to get him is a nice watch because its the only things he loves...However he is IN LOVE with the last watch I bought him over a year ago and its pretty much the only one he ever wears. It is a very nice Skagen, but its all he wears!!!! So I'm too worried about buying one he won't wear! lol I sorta thought about a pocket watch because its the only kind he doesn't have but when I just threw it into casual conversation he completly trashed it. So yeah.

That's cute. I think I'm going to give FI his gift that night when we get home. I plan on getting him a kinda cute silly gift. My FI is a comic geek so I'm getting him super man undies and pajamas and a robe (just plain). I didn't want to give it to him with people around so I plan on doing it that night. But the key chain idea is adorable!

I really don't know what I'm getting FI. He was talking about a watch he really likes the other day so I may go the traditional route and get that.

FI is very adament that we not do gifts. He thinks the tradition is "pointless". So, no gifts! Which I'm OK with... one less thing.

We're thinking about just giving each other hand written notes, since we can't write our own vows (Catholic ceremony). We rarely get each other gifts anyway.

I bought FI a valet/charging station engraved with his initials for his chest of drawers. He is constatnting leaving his phone & change EVERYWHERE!

Love the key chain idea! I got my FI fire truck cuff links (since we're both firefighters). They are super cute & I can't wait to give them to him!

I like a simple gift! That is a cute idea!

I found an idea on pinterest that I thought would be perfect and not cost barely anything and perfect for our Vegas wedding.

Except I will of course do 52 Reasons why I love you....on a deck of playing cards! And I am trying to think of really clever and original reasons instead of the boring, your smile, your laugh. I am going for the inside jokes...

I plan to give it to him the morning of when he leaves the room to go get ready...so the next time he sees me he will know exactly why I am marrying him

I'd like to get him a pocketwatch - he's mentioned before that he would like one. Either that or cufflinks (he's mentioned those in the past as well).

And I somehow need to figure out how to bring it into conversation that we should exchange gifts...because I know that he will be upset if I give him something and he didn't know he was supposed to get me something! I kinda screwed up at Christmas, we had agreed that we were buying our wedding rings for each other for our gift...and then I got him a book and some legos (he loves legos, LOL!) as something to open on Christmas. Apparently telling him two weeks before was not enough time for him to find something for me and he felt bad about it on Christmas, even though I was the one that broke our rules!
