  Usually invites are sent 6-8 weeks. I would give until end of month. Were you invited to any pre-parties?

  Give it a couple more weeks. Has this friend discussed the wedding with you or specifically told you that you're invited at any point?

  I'd wait until the beginning of September, especially if under normal circumstances you would prefer to go to the wedding instead of whatever else it seems you want to do.

  Invitations could still be sent.   I'd give it another couple weeks but also wouldn't stop making plans.

  Do you have any mutual friends that you can ask so you can get a sense of if invites have been sent?
  
  is the other plan likely to book up or become unavailable? Can you do it another weekend?
  
  has the couple asked you for an address or given you any indication that you’re going to be invited?
  
  personally I’d already assume I’m not invited if it’s 2 months before and I’ve received no indication of an invite, but if it’s inportant to you I’d wait another 2-3 weeks
