Hi everyone,
We will be serving just wine and beer during our “cocktail hour” (we just called it a social on the invitations). With that said, what are some budget-friendly snacks that we could serve during that time? Also, ones that don’t need to be refrigerated.
Thank you!

  • Chips... Cheese/Sausage/Fruit/veggie Tray (can be set out before the ceremony and cheese/sausage are better at room temp)...

  • We are doing our own appetizers, and it is basically going to be fancy cheeses and fancy crackers bought from Costco and cut ourselves, fruit platters and meat platters bought from Costco, and probably a few plates of cookies, and maybe some candy dishes.
We are also likely going to have platters of prettily arranged granola bars and other wrapped-snacks (From Costco!) and we will church those up a bit by tying pretty ribbons around them.
Our budget for this whole thing is about $400.
  • kostenann - remember to check the date of the original post as this post is from January 2019...

Also, one must check with their caterer and venue as bringing in your own food may not be allowed because of their insurance company or food laws..
  • We are having veggies and dip, fruit and yogurt dip, and crackers and cheese spread. Were serving bbq for dinner, so not too different from yours. Just make sure its okay for you to provide your own apps. Some venues or caterers may have a problem with it.
