FINALLY figured out all the girls' attire.

I was having a panic attack over the BM dresses last night. It was pretty pathetic. But I talked to my MOH today and she was able to calm me down. :) Here's what I FINALLY decided on - what do you think?

My dress:

My shoes, in white:

MOH dress, in watermelon:

BM dress, in watermelon:

The girls' shoes:

& I'm going to have them wear a pearl necklace and pearl earrings.

How do you think it all looks??

Re: FINALLY figured out all the girls' attire.

  • LOVE the BM shoes :) and I love me some pearls!! Good Job!
  • Everything looks good.  I'm not wild about the BM dress with the MOH dress, but it should work.  I do really like the MOH dress and am wearing the same on in black to a wedding this fall.  It's very comfortable.

As for the shoes, if you are requiring them to all wear the same shoes, I hope you are paying for them.  They are also quite high (coming from someone who wore 5" heels to my own wedding and daily) so I hope all your BMs are comfortable walking in high heels.

  • As PP said, if you're making them match all the way down to the shoes you should be footing the bill. Also did you check that 5" heel height is ok with your BMs?
Also I really don't like the look of you MOH dress with the BM dresses. I feel like the BM dresses give off a little more formal feel than the MOH dress IMO.

  • I'm paying for the shoes and the jewelry, and I made sure they were all happy with the shoe before I decided. :)

I hope the BM and the MOH dress end up looking good together. I think they will, because they're the same color/length.

They're not, though.  The MOH dress hits above the knee and the BM dress hits just below.  Also the different materials make the colors look quite different, to me.  Look at how different the satin color and chiffon color within the BM dress looks, even.<div>
</div><div>I do like the shoes, though - definately something they can use again - and pearls are good with just about everything.</div>
  • Also, the MOH dress is quite fitted but the BM dress is flowy and light.  I just don't think they mesh well together.  Why can't they all wear the same dress as your MOH?

  • Well I think it will be great - don't worry about the catty comments.  No one is going to be looking at the material of your BM dress or the fact that they are not exactly the same length.  They will be looking at you in that beautiful wedding dress!

  • Here's what all 3 will look like together:

I just feel like the BM dress is a little too different than the other 2, you know?  The material is far different and thus, the colour is different.

I have to agree with other posters...I don't think the MOH dress and the BM dress mesh well together.  Why not just have them all in the same dress?  You can always have the MOH in one color and the other girls in another.

I feel like the lace dress is a bit more casual then the satin dress.  I mean, I don't mind different dresses for the bridal party but if you do that you should at least stick with the same fabric for all the dresses...this way the colors won't vary so much.

Edit:  And I know you said that your girls are fine with the 5" heel height, but I would buy them a nice pair of flip flops from Old Navy or something so that they can change into them if their feet start to hurt.

TBH - when I first saw the BM dress I assumed it was an alternative dress for a pregnant BM.  The other 2 dresses are just so fitted it looks maternity to me.
  • Thank you to everyone. :)
  • I agree with the PPs about the two different BM/MOH dresses.

I think you should consider at least getting the dresses in the same fabric. The lace one is pretty but its more casual where as the chiffon dresses are light, flowy, and more formal. The two dresses don't really "go" with each other and your MOH, if anything should look more formal than the BMs.

  • Love your dress. That is the first dress I ever tried on. I ended up falling in love with something very similar that has some sparkles. And love the BM shoes.
