Good morning!!

They hired my replacement yesterday. One week overlap for me to train her. Doesn't sound like long, but I zero emails coming in to day and 4 tiny things on my to-do list. I have no idea how I am going to fill 40 hours of training.

Still waiting on the acceptance of our counter inspection letter and debating whether or not to have a garage sale this weekend or push it to the last weekend we're here and include stuff like our bed frame and dishes and stuff we're still using. I hate waiting and I love planning and I hate when waiting gets in the way of my planning.

I have bookclub tonight - I had been thinking it was on Thursday not today so I started the book late but got it finished last night. We read 'Eleanor Oliphant is fine' and it wasn't bad book although it took me close to 80 pages or more to get into it.

Need to work out but not sure I'll have time. I keep putting off the same work projects over and over because they're not tied to a deadline and I don't want to do them. I got everything else done but these 2 and need to do it but I just can't make myself.

He's got a week. We responded late Wednesday so I don't know if he has until tomorrow or Thursday.

But yeah it's getting kind of frustrating. We're supposed to close in 30 days. Shit or get off the pot, guy.

Morning everyone. Not much going on here. I have a to do list a mile long at work and no motivation to do it. Have an easy 3 mile run tonight after work and then I think I'm going to Marie Kondo my closet. It's full of stuff that's too small, old, or still has the tags on (so clearly I'm never going to wear it) and it's getting out of control.

@ShesSoCold Hope you hear from the buyer today and he's good to go with the repairs you did!

Chiquita came home last night to tell me that she has to be at school TONIGHT at 5:45 for a required assembly in her grade.

I'm trying to give her teacher the benefit of the doubt but I'm really pissed that we weren't told about this earlier. We're in a digital age. I don't want to dig in a backpack for a flyer, log onto some virtual classroom or find something else. We're talking 3rd graders here. If you want me to show up on a Tuesday night send me an email at least two weeks in advance so we can arrange for the correct orchestration of kids and pick up and meals.

We're going to see Wonder Park this afternoon. And then our friend and his kids are coming over this afternoon. He needs to use our garage to work on something (he got divorced last year and lives in an apt). They're going to stay for dinner. It will be nice for DefConn to have some friends to play with for a few hours.

FIL's dog is so sweet, but I can tell she's totally thrown off because she's not at home and we just operate totally differently than FIL (of course). Poor baby is anxious. I do think she got decent sleep last night, finally.

I'm glad DH has a short week this week. He needs it.

So about a year ago, chef jay’s company went under and they had the best tri-o-plex protein cookie. I know I talked about them before but they were delicious and tastes like a god damn cookie, not cardboard. I tried A LOT of other brands and quest is maybe the only thing coming half way close to it. So this weekend I tried to make my own. It didnt turn out bad. More like a muffin than a cookie though. I want a protein cookie! Does anyone know of a good low carb baking flour? I used chick pea flour because that’s what I had on hand, but it made it muffiny. Is almond flour my only go to? If anyone knows the secret, pass it along.

A week! Geez. That seems unnecessarily long, but maybe that's the norm.

Speaking of people who need to get it in gear, I got a text from my agent yesterday. We initially gave the seller until March 31st to respond back to my counteroffer. He requested more time. I said that was fine. Really, though, unless he is calling for his own quotes on the big ticket items I mentioned...which I doubt...then just make a frickin' decision already! We aren't drafting the Constitution. He doesn't need 5 days to "think about it", smh.

Seriously though, I'm curious. Is being decisive/indecisive a personality trait? When I need to make a big decision, I make it. 1-2 days tops. I don't want to futz around and have it hanging over my head. I want to be planning for the next steps. But sometimes others don't seem to be like that. I don't get it, but maybe it's a difference in personality thing and I need to be more understanding. I dunno.

It sounds like you all already have a definite "leave" date. I assume you all are moving at that time, even if the closing hasn't happened yet or (I dare not say it) this deal falls through?

For your replacement, maybe go through tasks that are already done as "examples" of the kind of work she will be doing.

In the Keto world people use almond flour and coconut flour for baking so those would be two low carb flour options.

@ShesSoCold, oh! And I saw this morning that Mick Jagger is having heart surgery on Friday. I think they are replacing a valve. He is expected to make a full recovery but, understandably, needs weeks off before being able to go on tour. I'm sure it isn't easy to reschedule a big tour, but it sounds like the band is hoping to do that once Mick is fully recovered.

Very unmotivated at work lately. I'm starting to feel a little stagnant in my position. I need more to do, but there's not a lot of new stuff available. I don't think I necessarily want to leave - just kind of in a rut.

The last few weeks have been crazy. NYC trip, another long weekend right after that visiting friend, a friend visited last Saturday for lunch, then my in-laws came over Saturday evening. I rolled out of bed Sunday and sat on the couch pretty much all day.

I also started a new fertility drug on Saturday (our first IUI last month was unsuccessful) and the side effects are insane. I just don't feel like myself at all, everything hurts, and everyone is irritating me. Oh, and hot flashes. I always kinda thought my mom was exaggerating about hot flashed during menopause. Nope, it's forking miserable.

Yeah, I heard! Most of the venues are football stadiums too so that could be an issue with pushing it back.

If the planets align, the Stones will play right around when the Chiefs are in town so I can do them all in one flight!

Yes, we're leaving on May 3rd regardless. I'd obviously prefer to have sold for a lot of reasons but we had to start making concrete plans and couldn't keep waiting.

One problem with forums is I cannot adequately SCREECH WITH COMPLETE EXCITEMENT!!!!

Do you all remember 1-2 weeks ago there was a job (Real Estate Development Manager) that I thought sounded like such an amazing opportunity for me. But I was worried I might not have as much "feasibility analysis" experience as they'd be looking for.

They contacted me this morning and I have an INTERVIEW this Thursday afternoon! I have a lot of prep work and homework to do now.

They have been very detailed about what they are looking for, industry subjects that are near and dear to their heart, plus there is a ton of stuff online and on their website about the company. I want to dazzle them with my knowledge and have examples of my relevant experience already thought out and at my fingertips. I am going in loaded for bear!

SSDD here except there is a horrible smell in our cube farm today. Apparently the night crew cleaned the carpets in our area but it left a smell like a wet dog that rolled in vomit. Facilities was up to inspect but there isn't much they can do. They did leave a little 2 oz bottle of odor neutralizer but that isn't helping much. Blech!

Starting a running program yesterday. Didn't die, so that's good.

Had the weirdest dream last night. Basically, had a dream went back to the exH, realized I'd made a huge mistake, begged K to take me back, they said (basically): Yes, but Imma be dramatic about it first, I said okay.

So weird. No more taco salad that late!

Nothing much else going on.

Hey everyone!

WFH today. Went to the dermatologist and the good news is my moles (plural - apparently I have several moles on my back) are all normal and nothing to be concerned about!

The bad news is I have psoriasis. We are trying to treat it topically initially and I have a follow-up in July.

Other than that, SSDD. No motivation and I'm tired and want to take a nap.

Fingers crossed the buyer answers today instead of waiting until tomorrow or Thursday @ShesSoCold.

I'm still home writing papers today. This last paper is the biggest pile of bullshit and I don't even know where to start. At least with scientific oriented papers I can pull in research. Ugh. My bff is in town so I'm trying to get it done today so I can see her tomorrow. I wish I didn't work this weekend but at least I'll get to see her a day or two even if this paper takes me all day today and tomorrow. This is what I get for waiting until the last minute. But it's my last paper...maybe ever? So thank goodness for that.

Otherwise, SSDD. Aunt Flo is in town so I want ALL of the junk food and chocolate. And it's so hard to say no right now. In my head all I can think it, "If you eat it now, it won't be there for you to eat later, so go on, get that junk out of your cabinets."

Hmph! How "required" can an assembly be if people are given almost no notice. I don't even have kids and all those schedules going on. But I would still find it hard to suddenly have to give up an evening at the drop of a hat.

Thanks for the fond memories. Weekend Update is my favorite part of SNL anyway and I especially loved the "Really?!?" segments.
