What's up for the weekend?

Just a wedding on Saturday. Unless a miracle happens, H won’t make it. He took the day off
for it, but it never means he’s guaranteed it. Fun. Another event solo. Plus, I won’t hear the end of how I didn’t bring my daughter’s friend to it instead. Because I’m not going to be “that” person.

Charmed - Just make it into a game, everytime friend mentions it, take a shot!

We are continuing to work on the house. We have so many small projects to complete! But H is going home right after work, to install the faucet! So once the silicone dries, the sink will work! When he finishes that, I will hang everything else back up. We would just need to get the moulding done, but H will cut that to size and I will paint it before he installs it.

Last night, we also bought the materials to make the stairs for the back door. We are also hoping to get them made this weekend. We are bugging the electrician again today and hopes he can come out soon! I hate taking the dogs outside at night without any lights!

After work, I will pick up DD today and then go home and make IP Pad Thai. I got some fresh veggies at Wegmans this week to add in and its going to be so yummy! On Sunday, my FF league is getting together to watch the Eagles game, so that will be fun!

Thankfully not much planned for the weekend. We're ordering in tonight and are going to catch up on our shows.

Other than that, I'll be doing laundry and running errands. I think I'm going to join a new gym.

FIL's birthday celebration tomorrow. We're just cooking out (weather pending) at my IL's and hanging out - should be fun.

We have a lot of organizing and painting to do at home still, but I'm finally done traveling so I'll have a lot more time to do it. We're also trying to get as much house stuff done as possible before baby - we need an updated electrical box and a little wiring, new insulation in the attic, and some major landscaping demo done.

Also it's supposed to be cold and rainy so we may just watch a bunch of TV

I'm so excited for this weekend. We're finally supposed to get some nice weather. I'm so tired of this heat. 95 today, 78 tomorrow. Hello Autumn!

With the weather, I'm planning to do as much outside as I can. Going to the park tomorrow morning, running some errands, maybe getting into my front flower bed. Then a puppy party and football with at my sister's tomorrow night. Sunday we'll do a short hike with the pup and then a soccer game in the afternoon. DH also wants to meet up with his family on Saturday afternoon, but they're wholly incapable of making plans in advance, so who knows.

We drop below 90 and into the high 80s on Sun. Ummm...woo-hoo? Then mid-80s next week. High 70s next weekend. While I appreciate the improvement, it's still pretty sad, lol.

After work, I'm going to Harrahs casino. I have $85 in slot play that is only good today. I'm pretty sure I can download it to my player "bank" that's attached to my rewards card. If so, that's what I'm going to do and play it at another time because I'm not really in the mood today. If not, then I'll at least play it through and get what I can get, ie the amount of the slot play has to be gambled at least once to cash it out. From there, I'm stopping at the bank and picking up a late lunch.

Saturday should be free and clear and relaxing. Sunday, we might go to Harrahs again for their brunch. Bottomless mimosas

. I have an offer for two free buffets that I need to use by Oct. 15th. Plus $50 in slot play. So either this Sun. or next Sun. Technically I can use the free buffets coupon on other weekdays. But I wouldn't even waste my time, lol. Their brunch is, by far, the best choice for their food.

Resentfully seeing Joker tonight and going to support a friend at a comedy open mic night tomorrow. Relaxing the rest of the weekend. We've had a rough week and we both just need a bit of a break.

I think I might try to do a nice dinner for me and FI. Then date night tomorrow. I have to clean the house because even though I left it clean, I came back to a mess. The dust battle is real. At least we have grass in the backyard instead of dirt. That was testing my sanity when we first moved in. I wish I could afford one of those super intense air filters. BFF also had a crazy strong vacuum cleaner that I’m now envying. Although we don’t have too much carpet so I’m not sure the large investment would be worth it.

Trigger warning for pregnancy loss

I am so heartbroken. While I was in PA, bff told me she was 11 weeks pregnant. And her sister, who we called to celebrate with, told us in turn that she was also pregnant (although she wasn’t hopeful it would progress). BFF lost the pregnancy yesterday. So did her sister. Almost a year to the day of her stillbirth. (And for her sister it’s almost a year to the day of her miscarriage last year too). I am so sad my trip just missed being there for her. I know that first trimester miscarriages aren’t uncommon, but it was such a nice uplifting thing after the anniversary and so it makes this feel extra rough. It’s a gut punch. I just want so badly for my bff and her sister to have successful, healthy and happy pregnancies. My heart is aching for them.

Drinking game!

I think BabyKitten has hit a growth spurt. She ate so much dinner! I ended up stopping her because she was just squirreling it in her cheeks and choked. This isn't uncommon, but she'd already had 2.5 plates full of rotini. I offered her some snacks after to see if she was still hungry, but she didn't seem to want it so I think she was done.
She woke up once, and seemed to be stretching a lot? Idk ... seemed like stretching. You know when your muscles are sore and you try to stretch? That's what it seemed to me that she was doing. Although she sleeps pretty curled up, so we'll see.

BabyKitten is actually going to be at my mum's place Saturday night. We have a wedding and my mum wants to go out with her, so it's gonna be a semi-early drop off.
We're gonna try to get some cleaning done before we have to start getting ready. I've borrowed a nice fall dress from my coworker. It's in different colours I normally wear, so it'll be interesting how it looks.

That's so sad @levioosa, I'm sorry for both of them.

Bronchitis DD had her f/u visit and now needs prednisone. I feel bad that she can't shake this in spite of nebulizing her often. She needs another re-check in a week, all three have flu shots scheduled for next Friday anyway so at least I was able to add this new appt to an existing one.
Cooking marathon tomorrow but otherwise a low key weekend, yay
