The Pros DJs

Has anyone ever used, or been to an event that used, The Pros DJ service? Their price is good and now I'm trying to decide between them and a DJ that I have seen before and liked and is about the same price. Thanks

    I don't know anything about them, but I would suggest going with the DJ you've seen before and liked.  A DJ is something you have to trust your gut instinct on, whereas a photographer, florist, etc you can actually see their work before hiring them.

    I haven't heard good things at all about this company...but it's been a while since I've read reviews.  When I first joined these boards a couple years ago, there was a lot of negative stuff going around about them. 
    I would go with a DJ that you can interview with, etc.

    I don't really like services like these because the DJ who does your wedding doesn't get to keep the full amount you pay, only a percentage.  I'd rather hire an independant DJ (there seem to be TONS of them out there) who gets to keep all the money for his or her hard work.

    Don't do anything with the Pros.

    Power Source out of Cheshire usually does a very nice job!

    Ditto, I almost got drawn into The Pros based on price alone, but heard horrible things on here for the most part (it sounds like you don't even know who the person will be until the day of, so you either get really lucky or screwed)

    I's stay away--I'm sure you've heard good things about DJ Melee on here, but he's our DJ also & I'd def recommend him! Talented, nice guy & great prices! Good luck :)

    Thanks! We're going with the other DJ. My friend had a good experience with him, I enjoyed him at her wedding and his price was reasonable. (philthomasproductions.com)
