"Intimate Ceremony" Guest Count

Our wedding is on Oct 15, 2020. Right now in California, we are allowed "social bubbles" of up to 12 people. I'm now planning based on that number of people (though hopefully we'll be allowed at least 15 people), but does anyone know if vendors are considered part of those 12? We would need photographer, DJ, coordinator & videographer (maybe).

Yes - you'd consider any vendor in that group.

The rule of the law is based on the breathing person and not based on whether or not that person is providing a service.    Similarly if there's a fire code then you'd count infants and vendors in the max capacity for that space.  For your situation, if the state is allowing up to 12 people in one space then included in that would need to be the photographer, DJ, videographer and officiant and then you and your FI.   That would leave you with 6 guests.
  • Absolutely cut the coordinator and dj. They are unnecessary with such a small wedding. Get the important people there.
