Post Coup Thursday

Re: Post Coup Thursday

  • This is actually the first year I've even heard the phrase "Dry January".  I ran across it last weekend.

In the extremely Catholic-centered state I reside in, that's what Lent is for, lol.

  • As if today needed to get shittier. FI’s BFF has been in the hospital for a week on the vent. So has BFF’s dad. We just found out BFF’s dad passed away from COVID.

  • OH no @levioosa I'm so sorry
  • Levioosa and MrsMitten - Hugs to you both.
  • I too have been thinking about @VarunaTT.  Hope you’re ok!

@missJeanLouise, I can’t remember if it was you or not, but someone on here posted about a massage gun. It was $99 and sometimes I saw it as high as $119.  Wellll I added it to my cart and have been keeping an eye on it.  It’s now $89.99 with an additional $6 off. I’ve never seen it that low.  If this wasn’t your brand OP - the reviews seem fantastic!

So while my 2021 “goal” (not resolution, I don’t make those) was to not spend money as frivolously as I did in 2020.... this is a “medical” purchase so there! I’m saving from all the trips I won’t need a chiropractor for my hip!

I bought a massage gun after my PT used it on my leg. Definitely is't a frivolous purchase but a medical one!

  • Thankfully I've avoided the TV for most of the day. I couldn't pull myself away for a lot of last evening and it really affected my brain. H and I spent the majority of the day cleaning and organizing the unfinished area of our basement. I have piles of stuff for our kids to either claim or throw away. We consolidated totes of stuff, and I made a run to donate a carful of stuff. It feels so good to accomplish something like this - can actually see the result of all the work. Now we have to get the big Christmas tree down there. H still has electronics to go through and figure how to dispose of them. He also has some other stuff to deal with and I need to keep on him about that. The last time we cleaned and straightened down there he was suppose to deal with that stuff, and it has just sat there for a couple of years.

I also squeezed in a training session with my personal trainer, an Italian lesson and a virtual doctor's appointment.
  • Im sorry for your losses @climbingsingle and @levioosa
