Why are people constantly posting messages about anything and everything other than wedding planning and etiquette?Please stop. Or find another outlet.

I come to this board for planning and etiquette information, not to sort through a barrage of posts about how boring someone's day is going or about the topics pertaining to the day's entertainment and popular culture news. The headline at the introduction of this board states that: "No one wants to deal with the etiquette police, so let these Knotties help you avoid them. Post your questions for modern advice on etiquette and planning."

Well, keep in mind a lot of these girls are close. I like having the conversations about etiquette or about which wine we like. It's all good.
If you don't like the non-related posts, you don't have to read them. Plus it's okay to post something if you want an answer to it.
There's no need to let it bother you.

Some one fill me on on how DD version 2.0 works... I saw reference to it in other posts. Does this mean if OP deletes the rest still remain?

They can't delete the thread if there's other posts, but they can edit all their own posts, and like one girl did, put in all exclamation points. So now someone has to quote the OP so it's not edited. Quote for posterity.

Meaghan - they can delete their replies within their post, but can't delete the OP or the thread; a girl last night/this morning replaced all her text and subject title with a bunch of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and deleted her replies, but most people were quoting them when they responded, so we just have to start using that function a bit more

Meaghan - it just means they can go back and change things in the original post to make it look like they didn't mean what they said originally. Which is why when a BSC thread like this comes up, people will usually re-quote it in the body, to prove what the original said.

Yes it is the Etiquette board, and if anyone has an etiquette question everyone here will do thier very best to give an accurate answer. We'll even give regional variations if applicable.
