    Short week here too! We’re doing swimming and fun at my sisters tomorrow afternoon. Probably an adventure to our creek in the morning before nap. Nothing big for the weekend; we’re both taking Friday off and M is going to daycare so we might actually get some things done around the house!

    I'm counting the seconds until I leave today.  I'm still feeling very 'ugh' today. 

    I knew I had an early meeting with my team to discuss the dept changes and who it impacted on our team.  I had a bloody nose literally minutes after I woke up.  AF also showed up, as that wonderful cherry on a shit pie. 

    But I have a 4-day weekend ahead. YAY!  

    There are new Prudies, so I'll post them today since it will be a ghost town tomorrow.  :)

    It's my Friday today as well.  We don't have big plans for tomorrow.  It's supposed to be stormy much of the day.  My mom might come and spend the day with us.  Friday we are meeting with DH's sister to take care of some advanced planning for another sister in a care facility.  Sunday we are hosting my family and hope to be out on our new deck.  But the forecast is calling for rain.  

    I bought an almost new Cricut machine a few weeks ago and really want to do some projects. But... I need to make some room for it in the office so I may start that project this weekend. Eventually, I want to do a whole room makeover including a new desk space for work and a space for crafting.

    I've got all the sides done for our small cookout tomorrow. I have to redo the brownies - they didn't cook all the way through WTF! I didn't want them to burn on the edges and the top cracked like they are suppose but they were just about raw in the center! Oh well I can do that either tonight or tomorrow morning. I have an eyebrow appointment in a bit. Did anyone else have trouble getting on TK earlier today? I couldn't get on for several hours.

    I am about to have a problem.  My supervisor is out until Monday.  I've done all the training videos I can do.  I need her to complete the last module.  I'm going to wait until Friday to ask the team if they happen to know the answer to what I need, but one of them has already told me no.  So I'm twiddling my thumbs at this point until Monday.

    No big plans for tomorrow except for my annual reading of "What is the 4th of July to a Slave" by Frederick Douglass.  I have a beginner crotchet kit to work on and a lot of TV/movies to catch up on.  If the weather allows, I'll see about getting out for a walk.  I haven't been able to take Harley out b/c it's been "feels like 104" degrees here for about 2 weeks.  I'm already tired of fireworks and still can't figure out how/why/who is setting them off in a downtown area.

    @VarunaTT, Do you take Harley on walks?  If so, that's pretty cool!  I regret we didn't train Maple Bar to walk on a leash when she was still a kitten.

    Why does work always have to be a shit show before I'm about to have a nice chunk of time off (sigh)?  I'm working an extra hour M-W, so I can take fewer vacation hours for Friday.  One more hour to go.  I will persevere, but unfortunately am starting my long weekend in a bad mood.

    I'm not doing anything exciting or fun.  But that's okay.  Just having 4 days off is happiness enough! Lol.

    She has a halter and leash.  I also have a stroller.  I am too worried about off-leash dogs and other animals to truly walk her, but I'll put her in the stroller and walk.  Then when we have arrived at a spot, I'll take her out and let her wander around on the leash length.  I have only seen cats that will actually walk on the leash on internet videos.  :D  Though she does respond to training with the clicker really well, so I've thought about it.
