Newspaper announcement people can't f***ing read.

So I put in two weeks ago to have my announcement out 2 weeks before my wedding. 

They send me an e-mail to look over it and make sure it's correct. Well, the wedding date is wrong and they wrote it as if I'd already gotten married. 

I write back and correct this. 

So they write back with it corrected to sound like I'm GETTING married... but the date is still wrong. 

I write back and correct, again. 

They send me a final revised correct copy and I thank them and go about my business. 

Announcement comes out today... it's the first version they sent me. Date wrong. Tense wrong. 

I'm pissed. 

What would you Knotties do?
(I think we're going to demand they print a new one next week - because that's the only way it'll come out BEFORE the wedding. And I'm going to insist they bump us up to the next package.)

    Demand they re-print it next week with a box noting previous announce was printed with the wrong date,  If it doesn't have a retraction with it, people will just glance over.  And there should be some sort of compensation.  Like 1/2 off or free b/c they inconvenienced you and confused the readers.  Regardless, some will not read the corrected one and the wrong tense is enough to make it free in my book!

    Of course I saved them e-mails. I've come to expect incompetence. 

    They called this afternoon and apparently the mistake wasn't made by the woman over the announcements but by the layout people. She was very apologetic and said she'd be pissed as hell. They're giving me the next package up for free and printing it this coming Sunday. 

    I am very pleased.
