Yet another "how is is only Wednesday" day.  The days are so full and feel so long.
Wishing all a smooth day!

I'm slogging through.  Just having a busy week I guess.  Work should be smooth enough, and not much but the twins' spring concert this evening, thankfully.

I know! How is it only Wednesday?
Saw devil wears prada 2 yesterday. It was cute and a real good job as a sequel. The premise of the movie hit home. That’s all I’m going to say.
Sometimes I hate being single. Sometimes I love it. Josh Gates, travel destination host, exporter and my future husband will be in my town in October. It’s really not up any of my friends’ alleys so I guess I’m going alone? This is why I need a boyfriend. To have him be dragged to all the things I like, and not go to any of his. You know, like a real relationship (I’m kidding before anyone jumps down my throat)

  • @CharmedPam, thanks for the review on The Devil Wears Prada 2.  I really liked the original movie and have been curious about the sequel.

Look on the bright side for the Josh Gates event.  You shouldn't bring a boyfriend to meet your future husband anyway!

I have a post op appointment with my surgeon in a couple hours.  He put a drain back into my left hip area in the second surgery.  I'm curious if he is going to take it out today.  Though I'd rather keep it in if that will help with the healing process.

For positives, my husband has been amazing and taken really good care of me throughout my recovery.  He brings me things I need.  He makes me food when I want it.  He even does gross stuff like helping me with my drains.  Then after the first set was taken out, he replaced the gauze as needed.

@levioosa I'm curious if your practice does this: yesterday I called the pedi and they want to now start charging $25 for prescriptions that are needing a refill in 2 business days.  I called yesterday and needed it for the EOB today and it wasn't a policy they previously communicated so I said as nicely as possible that I wanted it waived.  I'm still super salty about it especially since it's a controlled substance they won't refill automatically.

I'm....spent.  SSDD and I'm like plenty of others my age but sometimes I want to scream.

@banana468 we currently don’t but I do understand why they are charging. It gets routed as urgent, takes up extra time on top of normal admin duties and often with controlled substance there are extra steps to check. I definitely sympathize with meds like ADHD because you literally can’t fill those early. But if you only knew how many urgent refill requests we get for things like blood pressure meds. You have 90 day supplies. There was plenty of time to ask for a refill and now you’re asking on a Friday the day before you leave on a two week cruise. My suggestion would to be to call the week of and communicate that it’s a timed med and have that documented to see if that helps avoid the 2 day fee.

I’m glad to “see” you @short+sassy sending you healing vibes!

I’m so sorry to hear about the new diagnosis @charlotte989875. Sending you hugs.

I thought today was Thursday, not Wednesday. Boo. Otherwise SSDD. I pulled my trap sleeping the other day so that’s annoying. But otherwise I’m just getting through the week. I resisted the urge to have a margarita last night but we did make tacos.

Yeah.  I can understand that they may have parents looking to fill other meds that can be on a 90 day prescription.  But this was unannounced and I don't even know the max window that it CAN fill.  I'm addressing it w/ the pedi to at least say that I'd like a solution other than $25 added.
  • It's a Wednesday that feels like a Thursday here too. This week is just dragging on for some reason. Mother's day snuck up on me and it turns out my sister is working, so I'm scrambling to come up with plans with a reservation, since MIL will be here and we'll be doing a joint celebration.

Nothing much else interesting here. I'm still looking for an internal job, but the clock is counting down to the end of May pretty quickly. I feel like everything else in life is frozen until I know what's going to happen there.
