  It's not a normal school day, the kids are taking state tests, so some of them are here.  I'm in an accommodation room, so just reading an English regents to a student who gets double time and tests read.  So I figured I'd start the chat now.
  
  Testing aside, should be pretty SSDD later on.

  Happy Tuesday. Glad it’s back to work with a wfh day. Sunday we drove home from Pigeon Forge, TN to Metropolis, IL, but stopped at Adams, TN for the Bell Witch caves. SO cool! Even if you’re not a paranormal enthusiast, the history is pretty interesting and you get to go into the caves. I may have bought a lot of cheap merch from their shop. 

  I also took Monday off and it was the last stretch home. My one friend texted me (as my other friend was driving) and said the flights were up for Japan for 2027. I’m soooooo stressed. This is why booking a double room vacation is NOT good. There’s five of us going and I’m hoping the 5th MAY want to take my spot, but who knows if she’d even want to room with the person I’m bunked with? Even this weekend, that roomie had the a/c on full blast and I was miserable.

  So, temp differences aside, someone else we don’t get along with is on this trip too. Yay fun times ahead <sarcastic font>. But most importantly - it’s a LOT of money and I have no idea what my cash flow/job looks like. You’d think most people would understand that my job is making this decision difficult, but this friend really hold grudges and probably will be mad for backing out. She knows I “find money for travel” and will just say to charge it like I do everything, but this is a LARGE amount of money, not a simple domestic travel debt. I’m caught between a rock and a hard place.

  That's annoying @CharmedPam. I hope you are able to figure it out or prices drop (I know, unlikely). 
  
  Well, we found another kitten. I hope she survives. She's pretty anemic from fleas and an injury on her back but she's got some spunk and she's a total love bug. Her mom didn't make it from whatever attacked her. =( If she makes it to Friday we will take her in for testing for FIV/FIP and have her checked out fully. I might already have a home for her so fingers crossed she makes it. I think she's probably around 4 weeks old, the picture makes her look bigger than she is. She's only 13 oz.
