Wedding Woes

Wild Wednesday

Working from home since we’re unsure of this weather and tornadoes are being warned for us again. My admin said she’d see how today looked and would decide if she’s coming in depending on that.
I texted her at 7 asking if she was going in. Nope. Alrighty then, I’m going back to bed till 7:59.  I was up at 6 because my house was shaking from a helicopter above my house. That’s how low it was. Now, when you wake up at that time in the morning, with that noise - and in the times we’re in now with the president we have now… maybe I thought it was a bomber plane and we are under attack. A war on our own turf isn’t out of the question. But then I got up and saw the helicopter. Then I thought “if there’s a fugitive on the run, and our area is under a SIP, I better go out and get my bacon and egg bagel so I can say I was unaware of it when I went”.
Because I love a good bacon/egg bagel ya’ll.
In other news is anyone else as shook as I am with the Jelly Roll/Bunnie XO news?

Re: Wild Wednesday

  • @CharmedPam - that sounds like a terrifying wake-up.  A McD's bacon/egg bagel and a sugar-free iced coffee are my favs for breakfast.  I was shocked by the news of the Jelly Roll/Bunnie XO.

SSDD here.  We are to get strong storms this afternoon.  I have an appointment to review medicare options (I turn 65 in Feb - yikes) when the storm is supposed to hit.  Hoping my car doesn't get hail damage.  I'm not planning to retire for a few years, but I want to have my ducks in a row now.  For all of you who are much younger, start early with your retirement planning and sock away as much as you can.

  • I'll be honest: I don't follow Jelly Roll or Bunny so this is in an I don' t care category for me.

Safe vibes to all in the storm's path!

Read an Algebra Regents this morning and just finished the start of a Global History Regents to a multi-day test student at 12.  He's done with today's portion and my throat hurts lol.  (Regents- our state's version of an end-of-year assessment.)
Fairly quiet and low-key this evening and thrilled.

I know everyone talks shit about California and our earthquakes but I feel like tornadoes are way more terrifying. And they're constant! Safe vibes to you @charmedpam

Stressful morning but we're all good now.

I was also surprised by Jelly Roll and Bunnie.

Otherwise SSDD. I did a recumbent bike yesterday which didn't seem to bother my foot. Staying off of it is helping, unfortunately (or fortunately, I'm just bitter about holding off from walking). I absolutely have to walk on it Thursday for at least 30 minutes after a procedure so I hope it holds up for that. I made a last minute appointment on Friday for the dentist which I'm annoyed about but I'm overdue and I don't want to hold off any longer while I look for a new one.
