It's dead in here. Edit: I Judge...

What gives? Do we need to play a game of "I Judge..." to liven things up?

    What's "I Judge..."?

And yeah, it's slow. It's like people are working or something.
  • edited December 2011
Maybe I just spend too much time Knotting because I'm unemployed. Ha.

Anyway, "I Judge" is a common thread on E where everyone writes about what they judge. Sometimes it gets really juicy. It's like KPS, without the anonymity.

"I judge" is when we talk about all the different things people do that we judge them for doing.

For example: I judge BF's friend for failing all of his classes last semester then dropping out of college.

  • edited December 2011
    Beth, exactly!

I judge my former friend for skipping college entirely to go hang out with her unemployed, not-even-in-school boyfriend and falling off the face of the Earth.

I stayed late at painting class to finish something. I'll see if I can post a crappy cell phone pic here. Un momento por favor.

Thank you for waiting. Here are the promised crappy cell phone pics:

This is yesterday's painting I needed to put a few finishing touches on today.

And this is today's painting. I stayed two hours late to finish. I'm not sure the bear looks as sad as I'd like him to, though. I may touch it up tomorrow.

Not bad for the end of a 7-week crash course.

Thanks, GPB. I've been trying to cultivate an exaggerated, colorful comic-book style that I found out I had when we moved into color instead of just black and white. My classmates say you can always tell my paintings because they look like puzzle pieces put together. Laughing

Maybe not the most graceful-looking style, but I think it speaks volumes about the artist. I'm so OCD I won't let my colors mix on the canvas. lol

Cool Jeana! I think the bear looks dejected. I haven't taken an art class since junior high. Maybe I should. I really used to like drawing. But first, I will see if I can sign up for dance class, as it's fun and exercise.

Hmmm...the only people I feel judgy about are people I know, so I don't want to write anything down, just in case.

    All hail Jeana's artistic abilities!

I judge the makeup company MAC for their insensitivity in callously naming items in their new line 'Juarez' and 'Factory', with no regard for the attrocities those women suffered or what their families are still going through, and calling it 'inspiration'.

    Jeana - great paintings!

I judge...a woman at my church who has 4 children who are always dirty (and I'm not just talking about crumbs on their faces, I'm talking put their hands under the faucet and the sink turns black from all the dirt).  She can't figure out how to get the kids clean - her excuse is she doesn't have time in the mornings (they range in age from 5-12, they're old enough to be told/taught to clean up on their own and our pastor has tried talking to her, I even gave the kids some bubble bath once).  Even though she and her husband both work, they keep moving every couple months to a new weekly rent apartment cause the parents spend all their money bowling.  Some people shouldn't be allowed to breed.

Bowling??? I know bowling has gotten a lot more expensive than it used to be, but we spent about $20 a week on league over the last couple years (and when money was tight for awhile, we took a season off).

I judge WI drivers and minivan drivers.

I judge the college kids who live at my work.

I judge the ridiculous choices some of my friends make.

How about - I judge far more than I probably should.

Who blows all their money on bowling??? that seems so random!

Oh yeah I have a new "I judge"

I judge older guys who date girls who are still in high school (i.e. 21 year old dating a 17 year old) in my eyes its wrong no matter what your reasons are. Its not the age difference that really bugs me its the difference in life experience and maturity.

When I was in high school (age 18) my very first BF was 28 years old. His previous girlfriend was only two years older than me (she was also in high school when they dated). I met the other girl when we were in college. Same story of control. If I ever ran into him again, I would beat the ever living daylights out of him.

Sapphire I judge that person too.

Also, because I'm a huge biitch. I think if you are on food stamps and you buy cigs or alcohol, you should be reported and lose that benefit.

Also, I judge people who bitch about how the gov't is too big and getting into their business, and in the next breath complain about how the government should be doing XYZ to help them out. Makes me SO mad.

I judge all of the posters who write, "do what you want, it's your day, girl" .  Then they tell us how mean we are because  we say that cash bars, tiered receptions, 5 hour gaps, and other nonsense is rude.

That is creepy. BF has this friend who talks about how he loves 14 and 15 year old girls and its sooo disturbing. When we go out he will be checking out little girls, like 13 year olds. It makes everyone uncomfortable.

Yeah. I mean, I'm a firm believer that a wedding is a special day for a couple, but that's all it is - ONE DAY. And these people who ask about cash bars and tiered receptions and whatnot are just going to do what they want anyway, so why the hell are you asking?

    I judge....

My trainer at the gym for being 28 years old and dating a 17 year old.  He "claims" they're waiting until her birthday... gross!

People who smoke with children nearby

My colleague who picks fights with her boss over her compensation (which is more than most) in front of the whole office.

    I judge...

...my cousin for living in the middle of nowhere in upstate NY and constantly bitching how it's been 2 years since she got her master's degree and she still can't find a job.  Hello?  Move to where there are PEOPLE...there aren't many jobs in the middle of the woods.

...people who smoke marijuana after college...especially those that smoke all the time (every 2 hours or so).  I mean, grow up already.

...the women at my gym who wear Lulu Lemon yoga pants.  They're like $100 each.  They're SWEAT PANTS...you know, to sweat in.  Go to Marshalls, get similar looking pants for $25 and donate the other $75 to charity.

I judge my boyfriends ex for constantly stalking me and trying to steal my identity even though I have been with my bf for 5 years... whack job. :-P

I judge my friends who can't lift a finger to help me when I'm in need, but they expect me to drop everything to help them

I judge myself for being stupid enough to help these so-called friends, and for letting the witch of an ex still bother me after 5 years

I judge this.  It bothers me when I read things like this.  Maybe the pants feel really good against her skin.  Not all exercise apparel is created equal.   If they can afford it, who cares?

<div>I mean...they better feel good for $100.  I just personally think that spending $100 on sweatpants is crazy.  They're sweatpants...who cares how they look or feel.  You're going to be uncomfortable when you're wearing them anyway...because you'll be working out and sweating.  I don't know, whenever I see those, I just can't help but think "rich girl who needs to show it off wherever possible, even when she's sweating like a pig."</div>

    I judge...

... people who wear field (tall riding) boots as a fashionable winter shoe.  Those are $400+ boots that are designed for a specific athletic task. They are not water proof, you are ruining them in the name of looking "hot" while I have had the same pair for 12 years because I can't afford to replace them!

... flatlander drivers.  The road does not end at the top of the hill just because you can't see past the crest, you DO NOT need to slam on your brakes every godd@amn time and if you want to, then slow down and let the rest of us pass when there are passing lanes!

...People who are pro-life and support the death penalty

... People who think vaccinations cause autism.  If you're one of these people, I have 18 studies to show you plus one to the contrary that was retracted for falsified data.  Also, I blame you for the recent outbreaks of measles and mumps in first-world countries where we had previously eradicated them!

Sorry two are very political, I have a hard time judging individuals so I tend to attack large groups instead, lol!  A person is smart, people are insane
