Let's do something fun... if you could go back in time...

If you could travel to a different time/place, where (when) would you go? Why?

This is a hard one. I'd have to say 1960's England. Because its modern enough but things were still done in a more old fashioned way. Plus English guys are cute :) But then 1940's America would be interesting to experience too. But then what about the 20's? So much stuff was happening for women in the 20's it would be great to be a part of it. Argh this was a hard question Bren :D

Not gonna lie - I'd love to be a 1950's housewife. It seems odd...because most people know I'm totally women's lib and very opinionated, etc.  But seriously - no work, lots of kids to play with, I get to cook and bake all the time...sounds good to me.

Paige I'm the same way. I wouldn't want to be forced into being a housewife, but I love the option of it.

I also feel like I'd enjoy the late 1800s/early 1900s. I find something really appealling about a "proper" society and all that. I know it's just my romanticized version of it, but I can dream right? ;)

American Revolution (1770s) for sure!  I just love the spirit that defined that time period.

See, I'm absolutely no fun.  My answers are morbid.
2001- Put a seatbelt on my BIL so my sister wouldn't have to bury her husband.  They had a 5 month old baby and hadn't made it to their first wedding anniversary.
2004- Put the rollbar on Uncle's tractor so he wouldn't get smushed.

Hmmm.... just to follow the pattern, if I was picking an era, I would go back to the 60-70s, wear wicked floral prints, smoke a lot of pot and burn my bra.

OR, the roaring 20s, to wear tasseled dresses, feathered headbands and bootleg booze during prohibition.

That's heartbreaking Wrkn. Actually reminds me of something else I just found out- my cousin's good friend died of Malaria. He was a pastor in a refugee camp and his wife had just had their baby in July. So sad.

Ugh.  Such sad stories.  In that same vein, I might go back to 1991 in my front yard and be there to kick the soccer ball back across the street to my neighbor there, so he wouldn't have to chase it and end up run over by a car.

Otherwise, though, I'm not that interested in the past.  Most of what I want to know can be found in wikipedia.  Can I go to the future?

Does the fact that my car is a Hyundai, and not a DeLorean, make a difference?

I agree with Elle - I wanna go to the future. But to play along I'll do things this way.

I would go back to the 1960's to see the Civil Right's Movement (being that my Dad is African American I would like to see first hand how people were treated).

2007 - So I could be at the bar with FI and get everyone out of the car, not just him, then his best friend would still be alive.

1970's - I could do mushrooms and go to Studio 64. I want to see life the way the country did then.
