We originally said we would have 30 guests and I think I was quoted around 650 after tax. It comes out to like 17.25 or something around there. Now it looks like we are going to have close to 50 so our price is definitely going to go up!

opposite of Kmills811, we had a quote for 50 ($950, tip/tax included) for an hors d' oeuvres reception, not it will be more like 35 (need to get new quote!). Scott is very good to work with though.

I lowballed Scott initially and said my budget was $30/person (I was budgeted up to $50), and he gave me a great food, beer, and wine package for that price.  If we get enough declines, we might add a couple of signature drinks, which he quoted us at $9/person (since they're kind of obscure).  The contract currently says 54 people, but I think we're going to end up low 40s.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

Scott is so great to work with... we have chosen 5 different hors d'oeuvres (seafood, beef, chicken and veggie) for 60 people and got quoted at $1100 taxes and gratuity included. Still waiting for his quote with alcoholi too just to see if we can swing it! How much did alcohol add to your bills?

Thanks guys this gives me a better idea on how to go about pricing we are on a tight budget and other brides have raved about MP so i think we might go in that direction if the price is right!!  Is there any food you have tasted that you just love???  Im waiting on scott to get back to me with a quote and need to discuse w/ FI since food is his thing!!!

FI actually went to the tasting alone; he's the chef, so I left the menu up to him.  He particularly loved the tri-tip sliders and the teriyaki chicken kabobs, but he was pretty pleased with the menu Scott proposed.  It worked out great for us because I named a price and was given a package, rather than picking a package for a pre-set price.

We did Masterpiece Cuisine also...let me tell you that those sliders are wonderful. I've been trying to find the right recipe for them ever since our wedding to no avail.
We had 30 people and our price was around $550. It was worth every penny. Our menu consisted of the sliders, the teriyaki cabobs, i believe, caprese cabobs and a couple of others that I am not recalling at the moment.
They were one of the most worry-free aspects of our reception.

We provided Scott with a budget of $900 for approx 60 guests. We are having 3 appetizers (sliders, some sort of chicken on a stick, and a veggie) for I believe $850ish. We are getting our own alcohol and will also pick up our own fruit/veggie trays to save some $$.
