I don't use that term all the time because I don't typically have a need to - I tend to disassociate from military drama.

And Amanda, you can tell that girl what I told someone who told me I shouldn't marry a man who "murders for a living" - that she's totally right, and I'll immediately let all the service members know that they should put down their guns and hand out invitations to all the jihadists they meet to invite them to a tea party at her house to discuss their differences.

I read that more as people who take any of those views to an extreme. Also, I think it's easier to disassociate from military drama when you aren't inundated with it on a daily basis.

I just thought it was interesting... most of us are athiests or Christian (though I'm sure there's a few other faiths mixed in), and almost everyone is either a Democrat or a Republican, so I just thought you were blowing out hot air again...

I happen to be an athiest, and I don't consider it an extreme view. And where on earth does my "Paleo" diet come into this? Way to bring in totally unrelated junk just to try to make a useless point. For what it's worth, FI follows a paleo/primal hybrid, I tend to follow it but even strictly paleo or primal allows cheat meals, and that includes beer. Not that I see how that has anything to do with "extreme views" being Christian or atheist, Democrat or Republican... tangentially related maybe?

She was being nit picky, when it was pretty obvious that I didn't mean ALL of those people, since pretty much everyone on here knows that I tend towards liberal, and put democrat on the list.

I'm sick of this bs and getting called out on dumb sht. This is why I don't post as much anymore. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to let it slide. She called me out so I'm going to stick up for myself.

There's a pt that comes into our ER on a regular basis and all the new hires always freak out and ask her if she's having an allergic rxn because her lips are an implant gone hoooorribly wrong.

Okay, let's talk about overreactions - I asked if they were extreme views, because you had STATED they were. That's all. You could have easily responded (and dozens of other girls on this page would have) something like, "No, of course not! They can be extreme, they were just examples." You're the one who made this personal.

But you're right, I don't like you. I believe in being direct and not passive-aggressive, so here goes - I think you're full of yourself. You spit out junk like your sh*t don't stink, and people don't exactly warm to that most of the time. I certainly didn't in this case. Most of your posts are written with exaggerated grammar and creative spelling and read like a blog posting by a teenager. Your advice seems condescending most of the time.

I really didn't like that whole "I'm going to tell everyone that they shouldn't talk to so-and-so". And I told you immediately that I wasn't going to do that but you were welcome to, and then you then went and engaged in a thread where you were drawing out the drama and baiting her, and then once the drama blew up you said, "See? That's why we shouldn't talk to her." So I called you a hypocrite. Because I believe you are. And like the random beer example here, you tried to call me a hypocrite in return in a poorly targeted jab.

We've done quite well at co-existing since that because we've basically just ignored each other. But then you pulled a rather bitchy move by suggesting other dresses in a thread where I was AW'ing a dress I thought about getting. Would you do that to someone who posted a wedding gown they were thinking of getting? Because your message wasn't subtle - it was, "I don't like that dress."

I think you like to brag. A LOT. And try to impress us with listing random math related things. Like your course load? I rolled my eyes. If you were sharing something that made you happy/sad, that's one thing, but just name-dropping to try to impress people looks snotty.

Oh, and when you were bragging about how you got to talk to your H every day while he was deployed? That rubbed a few noses the wrong way, though not mine directly as I obviously haven't been through a deployment yet. But I did an eye-roll on behalf of the girls I know who are living through them now and don't get to talk to them each day. I believe you got called out on your bragging in that thread, too.

All in summary to say, I don't mind if you stay because it is, after all, a public forum and you do have friends here, as do I, but I don't really want to interact with you. You can either go away or just not interact with me, and I'm just fine with either of those options.
