FSIL's wedding is this Saturday!  Halleluiah!!!

She's just outside of NYC and while they faired pretty well from Sandy, some of their friends didn't.  She spoke to a few people last week who mentioned that although they had rsvped yes, they may not be able to make it due to complications from the storm.  Totally understandable.  FSIL called me today to ask if I thought she should call them again to see if they are coming or not since she has to let the venue know by tomorrow.  So obviously I said yes she should call, but they might still not know, so she'll just have to bite the bullet and pay for them on the chance they can come.  She's super pissed about all of this.

On top of that, my FI (her only sibling) is suppose to drive to NY on Thursday to be there in time for her Mehendi party (henna party) on Thursday night.  Thursday is suppose to be when the next big storm hits, so FI may not be able to drive out that day and may have to wait until Friday.  He originally planned to go out on Friday and miss the Mehendi, since that's a party for women, but his mother flipped out and demanded he go on Thursday...

Oh sweet Karma... Sandy could not have affected a better bride!  I am such a biatch, but that's how I feel.

    Oh Mel I had to comment on this. Karma really is sweet.

    I do feel bad for her friends that were effected so badly and I pray they are all able to recoup and move on. If your FI chooses to leave on Thursday I hope his trip is safe.

    Again as for FSIL sorry that I am laughing inside.

    That's how I feel too- I feel terrible that I'm so giddy that this all happened to her, but if this had to happen to any bride, she was the perfect one.  Mostly her friends are still without power and I don't blame them about not wanting to go to a wedding when you don't even have power at home.  A wedding is going to be a last priority.  She's freaking out though- it's pretty awesome.

    A had a terrifically miserable bitchy bride in NYC about 2 months ago that I was working with. The ONLY bride I've worked with who i had bad things to say about her. I can't help but wonder if my work is now floating around NYC. LOL. She lived in Soho.
