Cost of Alterations

Ladies, I  know there are always posts about Becky Fowler here but I cant find any about cost, I need my dress bustled and taken out about an inch, my dress has lace, do any of you have an idea of what something like this costs, or can you tell me how much your alterations with Becky cost and what you had done, I want to be prepared for that expense. thanks ladies!!

My dress only needed a bustle put in and I had bra cups sewn in.  It cost me less than $50.  I would assume with just a little hem that it would probably be less than $100.

Yeah, I was thinking it was $100 when I talked to her but it is probably $125.   Stil a deal though compared to these dress shops!!

Tiffany, I agree.  For $125 I got it taken in, taken up, cups sewn in, and a bustle.  Plus I took it back 2 days before the wedding and she pressed it for me.

I got mine hemmed and bustled by Becky in November for $100. And, I'm taking it back to be pressed before the wedding next week. Becky is great!

Hmmm, well she told me her minimum was $125 so I was going by that.  Even still, I'm not complaining as I feel it was a fair price.

Do you guys have her number?

I am going back for my final fitting on the 20th.  She took my dress in, bustled it, altered the sleeves, and hemmed it.  She told me it would be $108.  Her number is 972 986-8067.

I went to the alterations appt and turns out I didnt need to have my dress taken out at all, just to hem it and bustle it its costing me $175 based on what others have paid I feel it was a bit much but I guess a salon might have charged me more, she said it was because of the tule on the bottom of my dress that had to be cut although nothing had to be done with the lace after all, I also didnt need the cups so they wont be put in and its a basic french bustle, my dress is mermaid, not much train on it.

Exact same here--except she was making the sleeves with fabric I brought and I had cups sewn in instead of it being taken in. And my hem was a bubble hem, which is even more of a pain
