  We just booked everything ourselves and I think we did pretty good. Our families travel a lot so they didn't have much trouble either. I did have to field a lot of questions from people, but all in all I think we made a good decision. Had we been booking an AI we might have used a travel agent to get a better deal.

  I'm using Steve @ BeachBum. He's super-responsive and laid-back.
  
  In the beginning I was so indecisive about resorts, and he was very patient with me - always accommodating my request-of-the day. He must have given me the rundown on every all-inclusive in Jamaica.
  
  Their services are free (must be based on commission), and I've found their prices comparable to cheapcarribean.com and other budget-friendly do-it-yourself sites. Plus, I just feel better having someone to turn to with questions. I'll have a full report in 2 more months

  I don't post alot on here, but truly can say that I read and have learned a lot.  I will tell you that I am doing Beaches Negril and used VIP Vacations and Jennifer.  I know she gets a lot of praise on the HM board but their company has done a ton for us. They make save the dates, a webpage for our wedding and even have called the guests that are stalling.  Plus, the prices completely changed and since we took their advice and blocked out a group, we saved a ton of money.  The one TA we contacted ( and is listed above) told us we could get all our reservations and tie them together to make a group. That would have costs us a ton more, so I am eternally grateful.

  Hi ladies!  I don't post a ton, normally I am on thenest. Some might remember me from about 11 months ago when I was freaking out about stuff!!  I guess as of late, I just come on here to look at G, B U and have watched you all plan and then come back! Anyway, as a now experienced DW bride, I can totally feel good about mentioning how wonderful my TA was.  We used VIP Vacations and Jennifer. Couple of points, they made for us 100 save the dates (free) and they were gorgeous. They also did a webpage for our guests and so many people commented and it was totally adorable and I can't even thank them enough for calling people that were dragging their feet, and getting them to put up or shut up!  Ok, now the good stuff, we got to the resort and EVERYONE knew we were VIP's. My room was upgraded, our guests rooms were exactly where I wanted them to be (far from us and near each other)
  Also, just so you know, we booked our block as a group.  I don't like slamming other companies but 1 mentioned above tried to persuade me not to book things as a group and I would have been screwed because the room prices jumped, the resort sold out of the cheaper rooms and we were totally in perfect shape because VIP convinced me 10 months ago to do it as a group.
