  • It helps that I have lived in Europe for almost 2 years. It takes less time to get from one country to another in Europe than it takes getting through Toronto on the 401!

Flights are also ridiculously cheap here. My flight to Brussels was less than 40 euros, round trip with all taxes included. The flight is about an hour and a half so about the time it would take to fly from TO to Halifax but at a fraction of the cost. When I was flying Halifax to TO it was costing me about $400. Air travel in Canada is ridiculous!
  • Evening ladies. I just watched some of my old audition tapes, and I miss being skinny. I used to be so active and in-shape. I think I've got motivation to do my run tonight.

  • Nebb,

Have you ever been to Europe? If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Hah well yes I do want to travel around the US but I would REALLY really like to just travel through europe - belgium first, france, england, ireland, germany, italy, greece...
  • My FSIL lived in South Africa for 6 months and then in New Zealand for 5 years. Jealous. FI lived in NZ for 1 year. He said he should have gone to Antarctica while he had the chance. They send most of the ships there from the south island of NZ, where FI lived. But it's a one month commitment, at least. But still!

  • I did an internship at a school in Australia when I was finishing up my teaching degree but I was only there for 6 weeks and because I was teaching most of the time I didn't feel like I really got to see much of the country. I really, really want to spend at least a year or so in Australia or NZ. My FI is also a teacher and we are planning on doing a teacher exchange in the next couple of years. I hope it works out!

I say I've been to Asia but I only spent about 5 days in Singapore on my way back from Australia. There is still much more of the continent I'd like to see.

There is also tons more in Africa I'd like to see. I've only been to Morocco, Egypt, and Senegal. My FI and I are going to South Africa in October but I would also love to see Kenya and Tanzania.

Oh, there is so much out there that I want to see!

Nebb, you should totally do the Europe thing. I know people think it is crazy expensive but if you keep an eye out for seat sales you can sometimes get flights for about $800 and once you are in Europe, travelling around is ridiculously cheap. The exchange rate isn't too bad right now either. Hopefully a European adventure is in the not so distant future for you!

Sorry about your Grandpa, Mocha.  So sad.  DH just brought me a second glass of wine.  He's sweet that way.  My stepdaughter's graduation is Sunday, and MIL will be in town Sunday - Tuesday.  I took Monday off to spend time with her - she's the best, and I love her dearly.  Can't wait to see her.
