A few weeks ago, the DJ we had originally planned on decided to go up on his price he origanally quoted us. BIG TIME. He's a close friend of FFIL & told us from the beginning he was only going to charge us $150 as a favor to FFIL. But last time we talked, he changed the price to $2000. WAY more than we had budgeted for seeing that we already had an original quote. There was no way we could have done that, since we spent that money in other ways. So, instead we were going to have to just have an IPOD. I was pretty bummed, but couldn't afford the DJ we wanted.
Well yesterday, thanks to FB, I came in contact with a long lost cousin that I hadn't seen in probably a good 7 years or so. We were talking & he congratulated me on my upcoming wedding. & he asked the big question... Who are you having DJ? I told him what had happened. Well, in those years we hadn't spoke, he had actually started to DJ & offered his own services to us. & even said he would do it just for the price of the gas to get him from Fort Worth to our middle of no where venue. I just have to say I LOVE my family, even the ones we've lost contact with & came back around eventually, no matter what we always have each others back.
We meet next weekend to get together our music plan & catch up on old times.
