Officially Booking Our Venue Tuesday! I'm a venue/vendor pro now it feels.

I'm excited to finally find mine and my fiance's wedding venue. FINALLY we have found "the" venue for us. Anyone want advice, ask me, I've searched everyone in the metro atlanta area, etc. We are caterers and know tons of vendors enough to take care of us for our wedding, so we have been looking for a venue which will allow all outside vendors, low cost, beautiful place. I started to cry when we were walking around. It's what I really want and so nice. I'm happy to be officially going to book it on tuesday. I'm excited. All we really need now are save the dates, invitations, his ring, my band for my ring, bridesmaid and groomsmen outfits, and find a wonderful cruise for a honeymoon. Any brides have any advice on cruises let me know, or any of the above. I'm so excited! We're writing our own menu and a friend we know is cooking it with our catering supplies and equipment. I'm SO excited. ;) Anyone else just find their venue?

  • So... what venue is it? lol
  • What venue did you choose??
  • You didn't tell us where, lol. I didn't have that official wedding feeling until I booked my venue. Congrats!
  • Yes, Please let us know where! Made4Him - I LOVE that monogram! I just sent it to my FI so he can crate our  gobo ligh design with it LOL
For cruises look @ Norwegian. I went on a Carnival cruise a couple of years ago (which was very nice) but Norweigen's brand new largest cruise ship (in the world maybe) pulled up next to us and took my breath away. I think it's in Europe now. Check it out.
  • name, sister, name  !!??  :)
  • McDaniel Tichenor House. It's what I want. I'm so happy. We booked it today, yay! http://www.mcdaniel-tichenor.org/
  • I would love your input. We just visited our second venue today, and it has been frusturating trying to find the right place.  We have only 35 guests planned, and would prefer to keep the venue rental/food costs to $3000 or less.  I would prefer Gwinnett county or somewhere outside of downtown within 1 hour of the perimeter.  Pretty but low-key...does this place exist?  Congrats on finding your place!

The Roswell River Landing would be perfect for you. You get the venue all day and it's really affordable. The tables and chiars come with the rental and you can furnish your own food and alcohol. The food can be brought in by anyone (doesn't have to be a licensed caterer) but you do have to have an officer on site if alcohol is served. They will hire him/her, you just pay the fee. You can have your ceremny on the deck overlooking the river. I think there is a former Knottie under the real weddings tab that has her RRL wedding featured. :)
