Bubbles???

OK. soooo I bought the bubbles because I figured we needed something for the send off...but we are having the reception literally just through another doorway from the "chapel" area where we will be married. When do I incorperate the bubble blowing? Is it right after the ceremony while we walk back down the aisle as husband and wife? Or when we leave at the very end after the reception? (pretty much everybody will be going to the same hotel as us after the reception anyway to continue the party) What do you gals think?? Thanks for your advice :)

Most places won't let you blow the bubbles inside so you won't be able to do them after the ceremony since you'll just be going into another room.

Honestly, in all the years I've been going to weddings, I've never been to one that had a big send off.    They always look great in movies but just don't seem to come off as well in real life.

My vote would be to skip the bubble send off and just give them to some neighborhood kids to have fun with.
  • I think the Bubble Exit is nice.

My daughter and son-in-law at one at their wedding.
Just put a note in the ceremony program asking all of the guests to go outside for the bubble exit.

The bubbles make for some really pretty photos.  At my daughter's wedding, after the bubbles - the photographer took a group shot of the everyone at the wedding.

  • I'm not doing bubbles as we are sent off but, rather, I have one flower girl and one "bubble girl" walking down the aisle.  We got bubbles from The Knot's shop and they are non-staining.  We tested them out.  They really don't stain.  I'm going to make sure she doesn't blow them at people, though, all the same.

I'm a real bubbles freak (I'm a therapist and think they are SOOO relaxing when done as a breathing exercise in case you ladies would like something to calm nerves on the day of the dress).

You can always have your flower girl blow bubbles as you walk up the aisle or give the bubbles out to everyone before the ceremony begins and let everyone blow them at you as you walk up the aisle.  I'd quintuple check that they are not staining on your wedding gown or his attire (especially if it's rented) just in case.

    Good luck!
