Losing the Weight!!! I have 5 months to go!!

I have lost 13 pounds in 3 weeks but I need to start exercising I am really doing well as far as my eating for the most part. I'm just having a hard time getting the motivation to work out I DO NOT WANT TO SAG!! I want to lose at least 50 pounds by the wedding day, I just need some motivation!! My FI is lazy too lol...we were supposed to workout together and fooling around with him I will never workout. I think I need a partner or something I dont know but me by myself isn't getting it.

  • It sounds like you need to find a way to motivate yourself. 50 lbs in 5 months is a lot of weight, that would be 10 lbs a month. You can safely lose 1 lb a week, so I think you need to reevalute your goals into something maybe slightly more realistic. I know in the past I have set completely unattainable goals for myself and it has caused my to give up.

    What are you currently doing for exercise? What kind of exercise are you looking to get into? Gym or home work outs like DVDs or something?

    How is your diet? Remember its 70% diet, 30% working out.

  • I have been doing good with eating I havent been working out Ive lost 13 pounds in 3 weeks so I need to keep the weight loss going so I need to work out. I dont know what to do about the motivation thing.

    Running is going to be your best bet. Well any kind of cardio that is. If you're not a runner, start out slow. The C25K program is a good one, it alllows you to build up your endurance.

  • Will your fiance run with you? I talked mine into it somehow and it's nice. You guys get some one on one time and you get a running partner.   • 13 pounds in 3 weeks seems like a ton of weight loss to me.   Most people lose on average 1-2 pounds a week.  

    I find that the first week or 2 of exercising is the worst but once you get passed that point I feel worse when I don't work out.    Start small - a 20 minute walk after dinner.
