I won't, but I ran the 1/2 in 2006 as my first 1/2 marathon. It'a a good route, flat and fast, with a dip into residential Windsor which is a pleasant change of scenery.  I enjoyed it.

I would love more info on this if you ladies have any!
I've been looking to run a half marathon for sometime now!

Huh. It's now the ING Greater Hartford Marathon.  I thought United Technologies sponsored this event for years?

Dontpanic- I thought this was a great race to run as a first-timer.  If I were going to be in CT at the time of the running, I would want to run it again!

I ran the full last year, which was awesome! Just a word of caution, they did change the course for the half marathon last year, and I'm assuming it will be the same this year. Now it goes into West Hartford and is VERY hilly! The full marathon is still really flat though.

I'll be there this year running the 5K with the running team I'm coaching (they are training to run the Rock and Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon in December for charity).

<div>That's what I heard so I've been trying to incoporate as many hills into my long runs as possible. Did 10 miles yesterday and feeling it all over today. I'm also running the New Haven Stratton Faxon 20k on Labor Day, I"m panicing because I haven't had too much time to train over the last few weeks. Hartford will be my first 1/2 and up until now my longest race was Litchfield Hills back in June...haven't raced since. </div>

I'm doing the marathon with a relay team.  5 girls will each have a leg of the race.  Super excited!

I'm still deciding on running the half. I ran my 1st 1/2 marathon back in June and it was amazing. I really want to do the ING 1/2 in October, but I'm starting my master's program and Monday, so I'm not sure if I will have time to do my long runs. Since u're already at 10 miles, you gonna do awesome! Do u have a time goal?

    ME! ME! ME!

I'm running the 1/2! I ran it last year as well. The course is awesome!  It's hilly but honestly not THAT bad. Goes through West Hartford with lots of great crowd support. There is nothing like a crowd of 8 yr olds screaming at the top of their lungs cheering you on at mile 10 haha

I'm running 8 this weekend as my long run.
