I know I could post this on my local board but I also know there are a lot of people from New York on this board.
I have done lots of research on getting the marriage license but it is still keeping me up at night because we have to wait until the day before the wedding to both go in person to the town hall. Here is my question:
When you appear in person and fill out the application, are you issued the license immediately? I know that you have to wait 24 hours, which we are planning. But do they give you the piece of paper there on the spot that you need to get signed by your officiant?
