QOTD 12/6/10

What is the best wedding planning advice you've heard so far?

The best advice I've heard is actually a general statement that I've heard applied in many different situations: Take time to think about how important things really are. Think back to the most recent wedding you've been to, if you can't remember the (black - ie flowers, linen colors, ribbons on the favors) then it probably isn't important enough to stress over.

Honestly, the best advise I got was to haggle on prices, especially in the craptastic economy we are in.

I wonder if Prince William and Kate are registered at Target?

The best advice I got was to let go of the little stuff. In the grand scheme of things, its not going to matter. Sometimes I find myself stressing out about stuff that hasn't happened yet and I just have to let it go!

I was told the moment things become stressful or frustrating, stop what I am doing, look at FI and smile.

Perhaps a little sappy, but I'm pretty sure this is the type of advice that will still be useful long after the planning has been completed and the wedding day has passed...
