bridal shower thank you's

My bridal shower was this past weekend.  I am working on writing the thank you notes and am wondering if they should just be signed by me, or include my fiance's name as well.  Since the shower is for the bride, but the gifts are for the couple, I wasn't sure what is typical for this.

Re: bridal shower thank you's

  • In the body of the thank you I said "we" appreciated the gift yadda yadda, but I signed the thank you myself only, since the shower was for me and I opened the presents.
  • if the gift is something that you BOTH will enjoy, then i would use "we" in the note, but he doesnt have to sign it.
if the gift is like, bath gel or something just for you, then use "i"

this is what I did. Don't know if it was proper etiquette, but none of my family members said anything. I think it is the thought that counts and the fact that you actually write the notes.
  • k, thanks for the input everyone.  That is exactly what I had been thinking too.
