Funny Invitation Wording?

Because of our personalities, FH and I are trying to make our wedding semi-formal/romantic, and still a traditional wedding-feeling, while throwing in a mix of our fun, weird, humorous personalities here and there. The look of everything will be traditional, but there will be touches of our quirkyness in certain places - so it represents US.

Therefore, I've come up with this idea: traditional-look pocketfold invites, which typical font choices that make them look elegant...but a funny wording.

Something to this effect:

Me and my FH both think it's funny - so do my parents. We all always joke about how FH is crazy to be with me - and parents are so glad to be rid of me (even though I moved out 5 years ago, and have lived with fh for 3). We joke about him escaping to Canada if necessary, etc. Another girl from the Knot 911 app told me I should tie it in with the ceremony, and have the minister say: "If anyone has any objections to this marriage, the bride's parents ask you to keep it to yourselves".

What do you think? Opinions?

That's what we were thinking. Both our families share our sense of humor, and we're all very close (we've known each other since we were kids, so we're both very comfortable with each other's families - and none of the members of either family are serious, even the great grandmothers). The only thing is there are a few members of his family who live far away who I still, after all these years, haven't met and don't know me or our relationship. Those I might send traditional invitations to.

I would raise my eyebrows if I saw this, but I wouldn't be offended or anything. I would just think it was a little silly since your FI is obviously involved in the invitation wording, and it's weird for a person to say that about himself.
