opions about venues in league city area

Hi I'm new to all this and the first thing everyone tells me is to make sure i get my venue, they book up fast!  I kind of want to keep it local and i got two recommendations but they don't have websites and i was trying to get a feel for them.  Has anyone ever heard of or attended a wedding at
Villa Capri in Seabrook? or Under the Oaks in League City? I'm looking at about 100-150 people and really want the ceremony and reception all in one place. 

any other venue suggestions will also be welcome!

    Depends on what your budget is.  I live in League City, but I've never been to a wedding at either of those locations.  For that many people, you might consider a larger venue.  It's not for me, but a lot of people like Centurion Palace in Dickinson, and I heard of one at Windemere Mansion.  I'm getting married at White House Ranch, you might check there.  Do lots of research, and see several places before deciding.  Do you have a theme?

    I booked at Centurion Palace I love it and the outside garden is beautiful!
    Maybe mdnitemustang will chime in on this she got married at Centurion. I didn't visit any other venues around League City though.

    i got married at Centurion Palace. It was great! And we've had a few brides from here book there recently too. It's over off 646. Never heard of Villa capri... or under the oaks...  There's also Tad Akers... tho im not a big fan of it myself... and you could also look at Courtyard on St. James.

    Courtyard on St James is in Houston - Galleria area. Maybe you meant Butler's Courtyard?

    Butler's is nice, I went to a wedding there a couple years ago

    My friend had her reception at Bay Oaks Country Club, it turned out really pretty, the food was good too. She did not have her ceremony there but you can - they are in clear lake/friendswood area

    I live out in the Leaugue City area and I've never heard a single complaint from classmates or friends that have gotten married at any of those places. They're fabulously gorgeous when I went for a visit!

    I second Butler's Courtyard.  I really wanted to get married there but they were already booked for my date when I asked a few months ago.  :0(  I loved the layout there and everything is really pretty much already decorated so you wouldn't have to do much.  Good Luck~!

    you're correct! got em mixed up!

    centurion palace or butler's courtyard would be my top 2 recs for the area

    My brother got married at Butler's a couple years ago, it was beautiful and I want to say all-inclusive, minus the open bar.

    ETA: We're getting married in League City area too. Our reception is at the Windemere Mansion (in the shadow of the Nasa Rd Hilton on Clear Lake). I'm in love with the place, and we have it from 9a-11p for $1100 ($350 refundable), which I thought was a great price. Happy hunting!

    Have you tired Admiral on Clear Lake? VERY NICE! Also Fantasea yatchs and Star Fleet. All very lovely. All in the Area

    butlers courtyard is nice and packages with basically everything included is 11k if I am not mistaken
