SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY

Re: SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY

  • Making my own laundry detergent intrigues me, but then I remember I'm kinda lazy.
  • The powder stuff was easy to make. I didn't add essential oil, but my clothes are clean and smell clean.

My dad just called. My mom has apparently taken a turn for the worse, and she said my brother and I are not allowed to visit her. It looks like she's not going anywhere tomorrow. She's beyond pissed at every doctor who made her go to PT before agreeing to do surgery.
  • I'm sorry to hear that Special.

  • Sorry to hear about your mom, Special. T&P are with you and your family
  • I'm so sorry Special.  T&P

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Special, I am sorry to hear about your mom.  What is she in the hospital for?  I must've missed it before.
  • Abb, she had some major back surgery. Her GP and neurosurgeon each sent her through two rounds of PT, then finally decided to go ahead with the surgery. She's been in pain since August.

One of the nerves that goes down her leg was pinched for the last few months. It's finally unpinched and is beginning to heal, but she's in excruciating pain.

Wow, that sounds awful.  I hope she gets out of there soon and heals quickly!
  • I'm sorry, Special.  I hope she's out of pain soon.

I just tried dark chocolate almond milk for the first time.  HOLY DELICIOUS.

  • Adamar - is that a substitute for like.. chocolate milk?  Sounds kind of yummy.
  • Yep.  I use almond milk in my smoothies, and I decided to get the chocolate yesterday just to try it out (not in the smoothie, just to drink).  I think it's better than chocolate milk.  It's less chalky.

Hello everyone. I don't know exactly what I have planned for today. I think I'm going to ebay some stuff I've been meaning to sell for a while now. FI and I might also pick our first dance song - right now it's between Train's Marry Me and Adele's Feel My Love.
  • I'm really not very crafty and I'm now wondering why I decided to make origami flowers as my escort cards. Ugh.

  • Petal - what kind of flowers are you making? There was a very pretty one that I found fairly easy to do, and I had never done oragami before. It required glue though, which I found difficult, but then I got some glue dots and it worked like a charm.
  • Special, hope your mom feels better soon. My mom has been plagued with back trouble her whole life and it really sucks. She just got some sort of nerve block, so we're hoping that will help... I guess it takes time to see the results.

I need to do all the things I didn't do yesterday, which is basically clean. It looks nice out, which always makes it hard for me to productuve inside, but I'd like to get done before my parents get home from the shore. And I realllly hope my sister doesn't get home anytime soon, I'm still angry and don't want to see her.

That is what I'm making. I'm wondering if the glue dots will help. Today I'm just trying to cut lots of squares.

  • Yes - those are the ones! Glue dots make it SOOO easy!

Angel - I hope she stays away for you. Somehow I doubt she'll be very helpful.
  • poke - Did you attach leaves as well? If so, how/where did you attach those?

  • I didn't actually attach any leaves - are you planning on writing the name of your guests on the leaves?

I would probably make a very wide leaf and attach it to two of the petals.

    I found this for you:

It may not look as good with a name written on the leaf - but maybe you could put a name on the inside of one of the petals?
  • Morning.
I slept until 10 this morning...and I went to sleep about 10 last night.

Today we're going to get some cleaning supplies and food to last us the week, Then I need to get cleaning and putting stuff away.I'm hosting Bunco this month, so I have to get the house cleaned. :(

Also, a group of local girls and I went to have sno-cones behind snatchface's wedding venue last night. Unfortunately, her planner caught on to us and we didn't get to go have any cake. :(

  • Crash, who is snatchface?
  • Wow. I've missed some weddings. Any, your pictures are GORGEOUS.

Now I need to go dig up Rachers' AW thread. I hope she posted one.

<div>Wait a second. You were a guest a wedding and weren't allowed to have cake because you snuck off to have sno cones?</div>
  • Crash, I am totally confused.

I didn't see one....but I probably missed it too. <div>I got moved to another position at work, and it provides me with only my lunch break to get on TK...which is hardly enough time to do anything but post on my local board. :(</div>

  • I remember Kendall. She was the one who always posted about her huge coupon deals and new house, right? I think she had pink sunglasses on in her sig pic.

No. Lol. <div>Kendall (PS drama) is from our local board. She went crazy with most of her vendors prior to  her wedding. It was in an old Food Lion and she paid 40K...It just happened to have a sno-cone stand behind it. We were HOPING her photog would get us some cake...but...the planner was on to the fact that we were having sno-cones because she apparently stalked TK.</div><div>
</div><div>But some of the girls with us had recieved STDs and no invites...we were tempted to use that as our reasoning. Lol. We just had sno-cones though.</div>
