Travel Central/Cindy Ball honeymoon planner...reviews/references...

I have been working with a travel planner recently, and she has been helpful in getting ideas for our honeymoon, however I recently saw three poor reviews online where people were saying they got screwed financially....The reviews were all back in 2009, and I am thinking that maybe since there's only 3 she has had many other happy customers? Does anyone have any advice? Ever worked with her (Cindy Ball) (West Winfield NY) I met her at the Birch Hill wedding show recently

    Hm. Ive never heard of her.

    Josh and I went with Liberty Travel, and I couldnt have been happier! We're going to Sandals Ocho Rios and Liberty has a partnership with them so we didnt have any commission payments. Our agent was great and got to know a little about us so she could help us pick somewhere perfect for the 2 of us.

    We're looking into Liberty travel today actually. My fiance works at the mall down the hall from it and is planning to stop in :) Thanks!

    If youre in Syracuse and he works at Carousel, I would HIGHLY recommend Michelle. Of course she's off til Monday, but I love her.

    If thats not the mall then NM!

    DO NOT BOOK WITH CINDY BALL!!  My husband and I have been working with her to book an anniversary trip.  We are both wedding professionals and met her at a bridal show.  We have already paid a good portion of our trip fare and she is UNREACHABLE!!  I have also since checked the Better Business Bureau and they listed 11 complaints in the last 36 months.

    Alicia...please check dates of these posts before you reply to them. This was posted back in March. Anything over 1 month needs to be completely ignored.

    RUN THE OTHER WAY.  My friend had a destination wedding in Jamaica last year and she worked with Cindy.  I chose not to book with Cindy because I had heard bad things about her from my manager (he booked his honeymoon through her).  She was rude and condescending to me on the phone.  She came to Jamaica to "organize" everything and sat in a lounge chair all week.  One of the groomsmen had his account overdrawn in order to cover someone else's room and when he called her she was like, "ooops, how soon do you need the money back?"  Do NOT book with her.  She's extremely unprofessional, my friend was very upset with how she handled everything.  I really wish I could remember more specifics, but unfortunately the wedding was last April.  There are plenty of other travel agents, pick someone else!

    This was up at the top for me (since it was the latest post), didn't realize it was so old.  However, I can give first-hand feedback on this one, so hopefully someone finds it useful.
