QOTD - 1/4

What is the craziest thing you have done to impress someone?

Re: QOTD - 1/4

  • The mere presence of me is impressive.
  • I baked a batch of cookies and sent them overnight delivery (for $40!!) during finals week to the guy I liked. He texted me "You're amazing! Thanks!" And we pretty much haven't talked since. haha.

<div>I bet he had no idea how much time, effort, (and money!) went into that. Guys almost never do!</div>

Oh I snorted at this. :)

Umm, the craziest thing I have ever done.
I met my FI in the airport, I had NEVER met him before in person and planted one on him.

Something else I did that was crazy... When I was 16 we went to NYC and our flight kept getting delayed, over and over because of the weather in ATL. Well, there was this guy that I literally saw everywhere. I was convinced we were meant to meet, so I wrote him a note on the plane and we sent notes back and forth. Well, the time came to leave and they missed their second flight, so they all came back and he purposefully searched for me. It was awesome. He had this awesome Australian accent. :)
Anyways, so my mom and sister were heading to baggage claim and I doubled back, grabbed him and said "Since we'll never see each other again", and I kissed him. Oh I felt so BA. lol.
Never heard or saw him again.

That's my story of the day. lol

  • I learned how to play halo just so I could spend more time with the guy I had a thing for in college.  I hate that game lol.
  • *like* @ Meg!

This isn't really "crazy" but it is the best thing I can think of.  I have never been much of a cold-weather lover.  I don't HATE it, but I would much rather be indoors than outside during the winter.  However, Fi loves ice fishing and so in the past 4 years I have taken that up as one of my hobbies as well.  I have one of those super warm hats, a jigging rod, and always get my fishing license in January!

Plus, it's not so bad because he has an awesome bobhouse with plenty of seating, a little bed, and a fabulous wood stove to hang out in when we are on the ice.

  • FI and I had been dating for about six months and were living about an hour apart from each other. We hardly ever saw each other because I was in my last year of undergrad and he was in his first year of grad school. I sent him a package with different random things in it that had significance to us--a copy of a menu from a restaurant we went to when we first started dating, Irish Spring soap because our anniversary is on St. Patrick's Day, golf balls because we went mini-golfing on our first date, things like that...nothing major. I thought he might think it was cheesy, but he later told me (and still occasionally tells me) that it was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for him.

  • I used to like this guy a few years ago that was a huge University of Florida fan, and even more so liked Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow is from my hometown and his parents are a member at the country club we go to, so he did an appearance and autograph signing. I went and got his autograph for this guy. I grew up a UGA fan, so I always HATED U of Florida; it took a lot in me to want to get his autograph...but I actually really like Tim Tebow.

  • I can't recall doing anything too crazy. The only thing that comes to mind is from Senior year of HS. Another classmate and I had a crush on the same guy and at a class viewing of the play that was going on at the time, we stood up and yelled "Nous t'aimes!" at the end of it when they were all bowing, which means "We love you" in French.
  •      When I was in first grade, I was friends with this girl who ALWAYS talked about how great her older sister was. I'm the oldest of my siblings and felt kind of left out, so I made up a story about my amazing older sister who had all of the Babysitters Club books, dolls, etc. (BSC was super popular at that time at my school). I got lots of oohs and aahs for about a week until people found something else to talk about.
I had forgotten all about it until I saw that same girl at the pool that summer with my dad and younger siblings. She asked me where my older sister was, and I pretended like I had no idea what she was talking about. Now, I just have to roll my eyes and shake my head at my 7 year old self.

  • I got one.  I was (am) a huge football fan but it's tough, being a girl in HS who likes football, to be taken seriously.  They just think you are stupid and don't know anything.  I basically knew everything, was a stats junky and would constantly be checking up on things.  Even when I made good points, or called guys out on being incorrect with their stats, they still didn't care.

So every year we got to my cousin's (younger) for Christmas and it's a total dude fest.  One year I legit STUDIED my NFL magazine on the way in case they quizzed me on something to try and get me to look stupid.  It kind of worked.  Then we all grew up so it didn't matter anymore, but I tried SO hard to prove that I could back it up.  To this day, I still don't talk about things if I don't know all the facts, for fear of looking like an idiot.
  • I would have to say something totally different than everyone else's posts....  I had a group of best friend in school and they smoked....  so I did too!!!  EWWW!!!  I ended up smoking for like 5 years because of them and once I finally stopped I couldn't believe that I ever started.   (Not bashing those of you who smoke, my brother and sister in law smoke) but it just isnt for me!!!
