Beer before liquor?

I am almost 1/2 way through my last beer, its huge but I will probably be done it soon. I have enough vodka for 1 drink, and I know its lame but I prefer to have a buzz on when SNL comes on because its funnier.

Will liquor after beer REALLY make me sicker? Should I have a vodka drink afterwards regardless??

    This is actually a myth. There's no physical reason for it to be true. It's just that people tend to drink more without realizing it when they drink beer and then switch to liquor.

    I dunno, agk, when I mix any types of alcohol, or even different beer sometimes, it makes me feel a little bit sick.

    nebb - I don't think 1 drink will be awful for you.

    I was thinking if I am diligent with drinking a HUGE glass of water afterwards, I should be fine either way. I really wish I planned ahead and bought more alcohol in advance.

    Thats a old wive's tale. I think it depends on HOW much you consume. I agree that beer is so yummy.

    I know I'm lame, lol!

    I used to have a super high tolerance, but just felt more queasy if I mixed.  I can go from stronger beer to lighter beer and be okay, but not the other way around.

    I should also say that I've never puked from drinking because I absolutely cannot give up that much control.  So I cannot attest to the pukey factor of mixing.

    Ive unfortunately puked many times from too much booze. Once behind a pita place on the sidewalk :( Ive also literally passed out ON the street before.
