Vendors

Hello ladies,

I hope all is well for every one this evening. I am posting because I am in dying need of some assistance/input for vendors to use for my wedding. My BIG day was originally scheduled for June 28th but due to my recent change of locations me and my fiance have pushed it back to September with an open date.

We just recently moved to Key West, FL and it has taken a real toll on my planning schedule. I am unable to actually visit vendors to mid Feb. now.

Due to this crunch time I was wondering if any of you ladies could provide me with any suggestions of venues, photgraphers, DJ's, etc...

Anything is appreciated I plan on taking all the suggestions and doing a little research on my own and then picking the final venodrs in Feb. with the help of my mother and sisters.

Thanks all....

Oh and my colors are Dark Red (persimmon) and Chocolate Brown

    Welcome!

Would you please give some more detail to what you are envisioning?  Budget? General location in Houston? It's a big place. Number of guests?

In order for me (and others) to help, we need some more details.
    Thanks!

    Budget: $10,000-$15,000 (would prefer $10,000)
    Guest: 100 -125
I am from the North side of Houston mainly grew up in the Humble area both I have family located on the South side. The area in Houston doesn't really concern me long as its not ghetto and easly accessible to hotel. My fiance family will be coming form Forth Worth and I also have family coming from St. Louis.

I'm very simple, so my wedding won't be anything fancy. I would like a buffet style menu option as Iam a very picky eater and have my mind set on a meal already.  I would like to have an evening wedding and reception in the same location.

I would prefer that linens and things be provieded by the location and that there is no restriction on the type of music we can play. A lot of my family likes rap music and love to dance, being that we are African American, and I know that some rap can get alittle in depth but I will ensure no cursing.

I don't want any location that will split up my attendees i.e. The Cullen.

    Hopes this helps

I recommend you look at Ashelynn Manor. It is in Magnolia but not to far. It may be a closer to 15,000 but it is definitely work a look. Included within the price is the DJ, wedding cake (not grooms cake but I would recommend celebrations and sweet creation bc our grooms cake will only be $90). It also includes all linens (Ivory or white), chairs, etc.

    Hope this helps!

Well there are several places that are all inclusive that are reasonable.

Villa Rinata is one that is an option in your price range. It is in the Galleria. Some of the add ons can get pricey but it includes the DJ, cake, linens, chairs.  There are a lot of options on the food that can cater to any budget.  For an evening wedding there it would probably be in the middle of your budget.

Another would be Ashton Gardens.  Very nice property for everything you mentioned except that if you had too many guests, I think that their layout for the reception splits up the guests.  Beautiful place!

Spring Chateau is also really reasonable and both the reception and wedding are on the same grounds.  A drawback would be that there may be several events there at once.  It may not bother some people but I wanted to mention it.

Enchanted Cypress is also really stunning, with both wedding and reception at the same place.  One drawback is that it is in a strip center but it is Gorgeous and once you step inside, you would never know it.

All of these places, with the exception of Villa Rinata are in the North part of Houston.  They are all in nice parts of town and to my knowledge, there aren't any musical restrictions.

I hope that this helps!  My personal favorite is Villa Rinata.  I am getting married there in March and they are super reasonable.

Have you looked at the hotels near IAH?  I went to a really nice reception at the Hilton in Greenspoint a while back.  Most hotels should be able to accomodate your budget and hold both the ceremony and reception onsite from what I have seen.   Good luck!

Le Jardin is on the Northside that would fit around your budget. I think they are all inclusive and you can bring your own alcohol.

Photographer I always recommend mine Montage Photographers
Cater: Cleopatra Catering, Los Cucos (very affordable)
    Flowers: Always Floral
Linens: Elegant Beginnings (based in the Humble area)
    Photobucket
