Allergies anyone?

For some reason my allergies really hit me hard today. I'm seeing an allergist next week but need something to hold me over. I feel like my head's going to pop off. I took a decongestant but now I'm passing out at work. A lot of the OTCs give me a headache. Any advice would be great!

    I'm not sure how helpful this is, but I've had really awful allergies this season as well.  I never responded well to Clartin, but the generic OTC Loratadine has worked for me (and I'm thankful I took it this morning after I saw my car covered in pollen!).  I usually get the CVS or Walgreen's brand and they work well.

    I have the worst allergies also!  I've been taking zyrtec in the morning, claritin eye drops and then take a benedryl at night.  That seems to keep mine under control.

    mine are really bad too and i've tried everything. the only thing that has helped me is zyrtec-d (the one that they keep behind the pharmacy counter) i haven't noticed the drowsiness but even if i did it would be worth it not to feel like crap anymore!

    I know I am coming in late to this discussion, but along with any medications you may take, you should also try the Neti Pot.  It helps soothe nasal passages.  I have one, and it works great!  you can buy one at any CVS oar any other drug store.
